Buddy’s Boardwalk Empire has been a huge disappointment for me. I am really sad to say this. It’s location is perfect, in the lobby of Harrah’s AC. It should be stocked with plenty of sweets and pizza all day long. But instead they are constantly out of food and unwilling to prepare anything fresh. I can’t tell if this is a policy that is in effect, or just laziness on behalf of the staff. But they claim that they must sell every last, stale, crusty, pizza slice that’s been sitting out all day under a heat lamp, before they can make a new one. So if you wanted a slice of pepperoni but three, stale, cardboard pieces of plain are on the counter than those have to be sold before a fresh, pepperoni pizza can be made. I had high expectations for this place because of the hype surrounding it’s launch. I visited the night of the grand opening and it was already subpar. Then a year later, it is already run down, with lackluster service and food that just tastes like something I could get from a quick-stop, hot food counter at a gas station – just slapped with Buddy Valastro’s name and price tag on it.

Buddy! You need to visit this location and reprimand your staff, horrible food with your name. Customer service (mgr) with an attitude serving over priced food. She wouldn’t even give a box the 6in cake we spent $15 for…unbelievable! And it had her finger inprint also stale cold pizza . Sorry buddy big fan but this spot sucks! Nice location though

Quality of food is excellent! Jersey Roast Beef delicious, Au jus need ti be warmer. Parm fries need to be warmer. Presentation and quality if food is excellent, need to get temperature adjusted so food is not cold after 3minutes.

I hate to say it but this pizza was not good and over priced. The sauce was tangy, the pizza was doughy, and so greasy. If you are looking for authentic pizza I would not recommend this place.

The setting is nice and and visually appealing with all the pastries. But the food was quite bad. Poor flavor, small portion, odd textures for the parmagina cheese. Not pleasant. Service was curt. I’ve eaten at a few of his restaurants and this was quite disappointing. Probably would be a good idea for him to come eat there to try it so he can hopefully fix things up. When you see reviews from people with 50+ reviews (and there are many for this place) usually they are accurate.

Pizza was inedible. Greasy, gross, we took 2 bites and immediately threw it away. We even got 2 different types, both gross. We didn’t even want to try it based off reviews but it was the only option for pizza. Ugh.. save your money. Harrahs needs to get rid of this place!! Staff was super nice!

The servers were polite and fast but that was the only good about our visit. Most items were out of stock and they were not planning on restocking anything even tho it was 1pm. The cakes by the slice are the same prepackaged ones you can buy at Walmart. The cakes lacked flavor and were drier than a biscuit. Such a terribly disappointing experience

While staying at the Harrah’s in Atlantic City for a week, we waited to late to get something to eat and decided this was our best option. The service was great, the guy who took our order was very courteous, he greeted us with a smile. There were plenty of seats, so we sat at people watched. We ordered the meatball sub and waffle fries. There was enough food for both my husband and I. The sandwich was really good, I liked it, the bread was very warm and fresh, with lots of Mozarella cheese, the waffle fries were tasty and served hot and freshly made. Granted the price is high, but its a Casino, prices there are higher than usual! We liked it so much, we ate there a second time.

I ordered a margarita Sicilian slice and a plain Sicilian slice at Buddy’s Broadway Empire, and the sauce on both was amazing! Each slice was packed with flavor, and I highly recommend the pizza. Definitely worth a visit!”
