Best turkey ever! Been a fine for years, but and now I’m really impressed. We got a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and it was awesome! I’m not a fine of white meat because it’s always dry, but this was so moist and delicious I ate a bunch! It was perfectly moist and delicious! Thanks for the great food on a super consistent basis for years!

Went through the drive through this evening and ordered 8 wings and requested all drums and had to repeat myself twice. Got to the window paid and confirmed the sauce was there and pulled into a space to confirm. I had 6 wings and 2 drums . I walked in and the gentleman at the counter was very nice and polite about it and took the wings to correct the order. The drive through lady seemed confused when the guy told her they were supposed to be all drums and started running her mouth. They guy brought my wings back to me and I thanked him and went home. Sat down to eat them now and I don’t even have my full order, they gave me 7 wings instead of 8. Also have sweet sauce when I requested spicy. This was a very avoidable issue. If you get wings there make sure you count them.

Buddy’s Bar-B-Q is a very well known chain in the Knoxville, Oak Ridge, and surrounding area. Locally established, the business grew slowly but steadily while maintaining its reputation for consistently high quality products in this type of ‘sweet and tangy’ Bar-B-Q (others may prefer the more vinegary version such as featured in South Carolina, for example). Buddy’s restaurants offer a good menu selection in pork, brisket, and chicken; wings and desserts, and all the sides you could want. I would like to see more options in sugar-free fountain drinks, but the lemonade is terrific! Overall, a family friendly eatery offering an upgraded alternative to the basic burger experience.

A good barbeque restaurant in Oak Ridge
There are many restaurant options in the Oak Ridge area in general and along Illinois Avenue specifically. This is one of the few barbeque restaurants in this area. It is a stand-alone building on the south side of the main road, Illinois Avenue, situated between Waffle House and Baskin Robbins. Buddy’s has a website and several locations in Tennessee mostly between Knoxville and Chattanooga according to their map but this is the only one I have visited. There is plenty of parking as all 3 of these buildings are in the middle of a large parking lot. This one has a drive through so be careful when crossing the parking lot and entering the site. As with most locations, you order at the counter and they will call your number. I ordered a barbecue sandwich, fries, and tea. The prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The food came out quickly and was good. The french fries were not to my liking but the sandwich, sauce, and iced tea were excellent. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a good meal or tea in the Oak Ridge area. Enjoy.

Tonight I went in there and I had trouble with my gift card and instead of a woman helping she was very rude and very disturbed. I didn’t have enough of my car and I kept on trying to explain to her that I need you to put a pin number in and she’s like I have the same bank card. Kept trying to explain to her that her card has got to hacked so therefore that she needs to put a pin in and she still kept on trying to run her card….

Great food and service. We got there late and they didn’t rush us they did check to make sure we had everything we needed. My wife and girlfriend ordered there wings. Which were soo good.i had ribs no sauce with green beans and blue cheese. We don’t have fast food barbq in Ohio so this was a real treat. So good we stopped for food on the road home.
