Our bbq wasn’t very flavorful. Corn had absolutely nothing on it. They give u butter and salt seperate but the corn water should be seasoned while cooking. The green beans were fine. Hush puppies ok. Fries edible. They left off my hush puppies.
The chicken wasn’t seasoned, the leg thigh was a bit pink, the breast wasn’t tender & juicy. I smell the bbq smoke but it was a let down.
The brisket taste like thin roast beef deli meat. I was expecting a thicker brisket. I ate mine and I’m still a bit hungry. My wife didn’t eat the chicken & corn. Affordable.

Here for breakfast, why is this place not packed! The host suggested the pork loin on the breakfast plate, wow so good! I added the gravy for the biscuit, dam that’s a great biscuit! They funny thing, this is a Barbecue place. I will be coming here more. I see why there are so many awards on the wall!

I ordered delivery from this location, and I’m honestly embarrassed for them. The photo attached shows exactly what I received for the rib dinner — it looked awful and was not even edible. I don’t know how anyone thought this was acceptable to send out to a paying customer. The ribs were dry, unappealing, and clearly not fresh. For a restaurant with “barbecue” in the name, this was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend ordering from this location unless they seriously improve their quality control.

This was the worse bbq I’ve ever had. I order a pound of brisket, pound of ribs, baked beans and Cole slaw. Spent $29.17. The brisket was extremely thin sliced and tasted a week old. It had 0% smoke flavor. The ribs were dry. I should have known better when I saw the membrane still on them. The bbq beans were nothing but pork and beans pours out of the can and warmed up. The colesaw was decent. I don’t understand how businesses that sell horrible food stay in business!!!!

We almost missed out on one of the best BBQ joints because it was attached to a gas station and gave us iffy feelings but we were starving and not wanting to make a ton of stops so we gave it a roll of the dice.
We stopped for gas during a 15 hour trip from Ohio to Florida and grabbed some food here. We were blown away with how delicious the pulled pork and green beans were! Seriously, you could taste the wood smoked pork and the green beans are, hands down, the best I’ve ever had; the girlfriend agreed. This was our first time.
Today, a week later, we made sure to stop on our way back and had the same experience. Blown away with quality and price.
They even have a lobby hostess to take care of everyone and ensure quality! She brought around a basket of hush puppies and gave us a few free ones to try out.
Highly recommend this place… so much so that I’ve saved it to my Google Maps Favorites list and will, 100%, make sure we stop here every single time we are coming up or down I-75. This place is meow a staple for my traveling and gas stops.
Gonna cross my fingers I can make it on a Saturday for their All You Can Eat Ribs!
Next time I’m going to be smart and grab a ton of pork and green beans (they have bulk offerings I saw on the menu).
To top it off, both stops here the staff were all the definition of southern hospitality to the dot! Management knows what they’re doing here and it’s obvious with how well run the operation is going.
Kudos to the higher ups for putting emphasis on quality and even more kudos to the workers for making that vision a reality.

To begin… I love Buddy’s BBQ and their food is off the scale in delicious. Today, separate from usual and according to my phone and Google maps, we arrived in the drive through at 107 pm and left at 145 pm. We ordered two, number 1 combo. Pork sandwich with ff and a drink. I saw people moving around when we got to the window, and the time before our order could not be separated however, it was simply too long. So the next time you think about the franchise being close and a real buddy’s being too far, I’m not sure there is a difference. I still love Buddy’s and all they do for the community. Sunday at one…no thank you.

Generally speaking I LOVE Buddys and I still do, this isnt a quality complaint, its a quantity complaint !
I stopped in on a Tuesday last week for some supper, they have those Tuesday supper special ya know, and if you don’t you should try it. But I digress. I got my moms a 1/4 chicken dinner with the beans and slaw and I got myself the pulled chicken dinner as I don’t much care to eat the skins or pull any chicken off bones and I like the beans as well but opted for the tater salad even though it costs about a dollar more.
Below I have posted a picture(my cam is not the best but you can actually see the bottom where there should be chicken imho) of both dinners and it seems to me that the pulled box has WAY less chicken and I understand it takes more time to pull it and all but you charged me a dollar extra for that, already! In much simpler terms, that’s double dippin’ ain’t it?
Anyway, we love buddys so I’m still gonna go 3 stars which is one star lower than previous reviews. I take one because I don’t like how they are joined to a gas station and it is sometimes harder to get at and now I remove another for this quantity issue.
I don’t want anything free to make up for it either bc that de-values my reviews. I just don’t think it’s right and it will be interesting to see if management agrees or nil. Any thoughts of discounts or free stuff would entirely taint the process in my humble opinion. I just won’t order your pulled chicken anymore. I just wanted to let others know about this difference or if it was a mistake, bring it to the manager’s attention. When I worked at Applebees we actually had a little scale for quick measuring to be certain we were not too far over OR under…but to each his own I guess.
So thanks for reading and absolutely go get some buddys if you havent already, just watch that pulled chicken supper folks !
UPDATE- ordered extra bbq sauce, got home with the latest pic. Not only didnt i get my extra but they didnt even put ANY !
This might be it with me and the LC Buddys. The farragut store is technically closer anyhow. Sorry Buddy ! I still love you but its time i seek a new Buddy . Also please dont even bother to offer a replacement or anything free because i cant accept gifts AND give honest reviews but thanks all the same.

In a world where eating out is usually not a good experience this Buddies in Sevier County is way better than all the other ones I’ve been to. They seem to keep the same staff year after year which is unheard of in restaurants. Happy employees are gonna put out a better product. Where other restaurants have went down hill 100 percent over the years because no one wants to work and no one cares about their job anymore or has any pride or morals this place has went down only about about 20 percent. Its a place where I can safely get some real meat and food in a world that has went straight to hell. Sevierville has the best Buddies, Kingston is absolute worst and all the others it depends on who’s working there that week.
