Buddy Brew is Tampa Bay’s quintessential coffee roaster. Founded in 2011, we are a family-owned specialty coffee brand with eight popular cafés, including our location in the heart of charming downtown Sarasota. Our mission, “Brew Good, Do Good,” means we always source top specialty grade coffees equitably and sustainably through direct relationships with farmers. We meticulously small-batch roast to bring out the unique tasting notes in every bean. Our baristas use state-of-the-art equipment to brew your drip coffee and handcraft your espresso drinks with loving care. We ordered a flat white, cookie butter matcha, strawberry rhubarb scone, orange chocolate bread and bacon biscuit. Everything was amazing! Their espresso is silky and so tasty and if you’re in the mood for a sweet drink, the specialty matcha was delicious! The scone and bread were some of the best I’ve had and the sandwich was fresh, very tasty and plenty big to fill me up. The homemade biscuit was dense and perfectly cooked. The outdoor space was very nice, has plenty of space and is dog friendly. Our only regret is that we found it on our last day here! It was well worth the trip into town from Lido Key! We got a big bag of espresso beans to bring home on our way out and we’ll definitely be back during our annual trip next year 🙂

My husband and I stopped by randomly. He got the pumpkin iced latte and I got an iced matcha, as well as some pastries. This place did not disappoint. The coffee they use is fantastic and the staff was super friendly and pleasant to talk with. If you are looking for a coffee shop, definitely would recommend this place

Been enjoying this great coffee spot since 2015 yet I needed to highlight the wonderful lattes made by the barista Jordan. On our last three visits Jordan made a perfectly frothed latte and served it beautifully…delicious and at the proper temperature as well! Thank you Jordan!

Small coffee and pastry shop in downtown Sarasota. Best triple-shot espresso I’ve had in years. The inside is small, with limited seating, but it has plenty of comfortable seating in covered area just beyond the door. Perfect for that morning or afternoon cup-o-joe. In the midst of activities and a short walk to the Bayfront. Staff was polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. Will return often.

I was heading to the barbershop across the street and had some spare time. This place caught my eye so I was like what the heck let’s try it and there were regrets when I walked in. The beautiful interior with the cool warm atmosphere was a lot to take it. The Staff was super chill and made my iced latte perfectly. The vibe in the shop was super cool and I definitely recommend it anyone that’s in the area and I’m going to come back for sure!

I got an iced oat milk latte and it was perfect. The espresso wasn’t bitter and they don’t add sweetener to their regular lattes, which is perfect for me. I love a good not bitter string coffee. Customer service was on point

What a cute place!!! Amazing coffee!! We asked around for the best coffee and everyone sent us to Buddy Brew. It’s tucked under a parking garage in downtown Sarasota and is a neat little (and I mean LITTLE) spot. We are always in search of amazing coffee shops and this one was exceptionally awesome from the coffee right down to the staff—no one made us feel like we were unworthy of their coffee, as many of these places do. The baristas were extremely nice. We got two lattes, one hot and one iced, a croissant, and the veggie quiche. I’m a quiche fanatic and love seeing how little places like this serve it. The coffee was delicious, croissant perfection, and the quiche…wow. They serve little personal sized quiches in foil pans, warmed just enough, and crustless. Mine was feta, spinach, tomato, and artichoke—YUM!!!! We noticed comfy couches and good tunes in the area outside, perfect for kicking back with your treats since the seating inside is very limited. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly customers while we waited and were out of there quick, on the road with fuel for another day of Spring Break!

Really cool little coffee shop, not a lot of indoor space but plenty of outdoor seating. That being said there is some seating inside if you prefer to stay out of the Heat. The coffee shop has a really great aesthetic and is an awesome place to pick up a cold brew coffee or hot coffee if your liking. I would definitely recommend checking out Sarasota Buddy Brew Coffee, a coffee shop worth visiting.

What a darling little coffee spot! The best part is the coffee is legit. We had a double espresso, latte, latte with lavender and almond milk, matcha latte and an iced oat milk latte. They all passed the taste test. And I loved seeing everyone with their dogs. It’s a great find.
