Had a great dinner at Buddies. Two meals, a drink, a kids meal, an appetizer and an extra side of fries was $48 before tax. The sweet potato fries were amazing! Kids eat free on Monday’s so that was a nice surprise. The portions were a good size and my Cobb salad was fresh and paired well with the house made dressing. The half order of nachos was more than enough for two people. All in all had a great dinner and will definitely be back.

Incredible service, Michael is legitimately one of the best bartenders I’ve ever seen in action. He knows what he’s doing and it doesn’t matter how busy he is, you can tell he is really listening to you and your order while managing a million other things. Unfortunately we came in at the tail end of trivia but I’m guessing it’s a regular Tuesday thing and it sounded really great.

Buddies Pub & Grill is a popular local pub in town. Love atmosphere. Wide open space inside and very clean. Can enjoy the good food and drinks with your coworkers, friends, or family. You should try their famous nachos, but I warned you it is quite huge volume. The pub staff is very friendly and professional manner. There is “Buddies Pizza” restaurant is near by, so make sure get right place when you call make a reservation or meet with someone there.

I highly recommend this if you are going to a Msu bball game and want something to eat before it. We tried to go to chilis before the Illinois game, there was a wait time. Decided to leave, went here to try another option for dinner. Came here to buddies. Got seated immediately, service was fast, and food was extremely good. We’d still be at chilis waiting by now if we stayed there 5 stars 🙂

The serving size of the southern nachos was huge! I wish the cheese on top would have been a liquid instead of just melted cheese but they were pretty good! They came with what tasted like store bought salsa. The pork was very good.
The tables were a little cramped for our party size, but we made it work. There did seem to be a decent amount of fruit flys flying around the table as well. The wait staff was efficient.

A solid sports bar place with good food and reasonable prices. Nothing to write home about but it gets the job done. They have a wide variety of options, but I would pass on their nachos if I went again.

It’s edible. That’s about the only remarkable thing to it. I ordered a Caesar salad with steak med rare and liver & onions. The steak was cooked to well done and I don’t think it was touched by salt or pepper at any point during cooking. It almost looked like it was boiled at some point.
The liver was cooked to the point it was nearly inedible, and the “salad” it came with was either forgotten or somehow turned into a pile of fried potatoes.
I highly doubt I’ll go be going back with Henry’s or Dusty’s both within shooting distance.

They contacted me about my review, and asked to comp me for it. They agreed to refund my card, but it’s been ~3 weeks now and they didn’t follow through with their promise to refund me. I’d bump them up to a 3 if they’d stayed true to their word.
**Edit Two**
Never received the promised refund, will likely not be returning. Lying to try and keep business isn’t a good strategy in the long term.

Only By Nature
The foods I was pretty good here only reason I give it four stars on service and atmosphere when it comes to Atmosphere you know it’s a sports bar pizza sports bar more or less I guess I could give it five stars but when it comes to the atmosphere in the service both are pretty good I guess when it comes down to it sometimes the tables aren’t wiped off the cleanest the servers need to do a little better job with that but frankly that’s a problem all over managers need to learn how to wipe a table off proper and then they need to teach their staff how to wipe a table off proper that’s not just a problem at this place. Then I probably always hit them with five stars.
