What a spot! This is definitely a hidden gem that deserves way more recognition. We came on a Saturday evening for dinner and were surprised to have “Soca Saturday” vibes. The hostess greeted us and was quick to seat us and welcome us, then our server Empress came by and was an absolute delight the entire time. I ordered their special passion fruit sangria which was nice and refreshing. We shared three rolls: the Buddha ‘s Delight, a Rainbow Roll, and the Rock City Roll. All of them were beautifully presented and delicious. Arguably the best sushi we’ve had, not just on island. Try the special sauces that they offer too! The timing of all our rolls, drinks, entrees was perfect and my only complaint is that we didn’t save enough room for dessert! To top it all off, we were walking towards the door and I stopped to take a picture of their little fish pond, and Empress came by and offered me fish food to give to them. What an awesome little spot, we will absolutely be back time and time again, this is our new favorite sushi spot on island.

We found Buddha Sushi on a whim when we walked into another sushi place and didn’t feel great about the vibe. Buddha Sushi is really cute and laid back. Seemed like a mix of locals and tourists. Our waitress at Buddha Sushi was polite and helpful. The sushi chef was super friendly. Everyone was really pleased with their meal. My son ordered the chicken wings and RAVED about them. He said they were the best wings he’s ever had. We ordered three sushi rolls and they were outstanding. They were served with some dipping sauces and the ginger one was amazing! We also ordered chicken teriyaki. The chicken, rice and vegetables were all well seasoned. We highly recommend!

Went here last night. Nice atmosphere. Open, but some privacy in the booths. Wait staff was very nice and helpful with the menu and specials. My fiancé had teriyaki chicken ( which was excellent, flavors spot-on!). I had one of the sushi specials. Smooth Kriminal. Food was phenomenal. Presentation was awesome. Staff were very friendly. It’s a great place to celebrate a special occasion or if you’re just in the mood for some great Asian food. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Came across this place on the way back from St. John with no expectations and was very impressed. Taj hosted me like I was in his living room. Food was amazing, I had multiple courses and some custom plates recommended by the house. Flight of Caribbean rums to compliment the meal. Top notch!

Super good but SUPER SLOW service also very expensive. The food is excellent but prepare yourself for a 3 hour dinner. I am not sure why it takes so long as it has never been busy when I’ve gone. I would 11/10 recommend the oyster appetizer- so freaking good. Their presentations are nice with the sauce writing for the name of the sushi rolls. Fish tastes very fresh. They have a large menu so everyone can find something they like. Staff is also very nice just need to figure out how to make their service faster!!!!!

I hate to leave reviews. I only do if I want to save someone else trouble or if my experience was worthy of bothering others with.
Well, I came here once at the suggestion of a friend, and now I come every time I am here.
Personally, my favorite is the Buddha Sushi roll. I left a pic. There are so many flavors that truly hit your taste buds one at a time and are not all mashed together. 6 times I have eaten it and all times are great.
The owner/top chef is a culinary artist, and it shows. He has own several food awards.
The building has always been clean, and the waitstaff (my favorite is Faye) are very respectful and helpful with suggestions.
Lastly; MUST TRY soursop sherbet! I hear that Taj makes it himself, and the flavors finish off any palette.

From the moment we walked in we experienced such welcoming hospitality, but the amazing experience we had didn’t stop there. The atmosphere here is a huge vibe, with moody lighting, comfortable booths stocked with fluffy pillows, lovely coy fish pond, and beautiful live music to complete the ambiance. Now to the food. We started our meal with the sushi pizza, recommended by our wonderful server which was delicious. Following that we ordered 3 different rolls all of which were amazing in their own ways. Finally we had dessert which was very tasty and the chef brought us a complimentary sorbet to try which was made in house and that too was lovely.

Omg! My friends and I love sushi. We’re very picky about it too. Good is hands down some of the best sushi I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Japan! The waiters were lovely as well! There was a mix of live music and Taj DJing. So fun! We decided that while on this trip, if we can’t decide on what to eat, we’re coming back here lol
We had fried rice, the saltfish pate, a Philly, a California, the cricket and the volcano roll! All fabulous! The fried rice was unlike anything we’d had before!
The only thing that was slightly amiss were the drinks but we literally don’t care because the sushi was so freaking good!!!

Excellent experience. Tried their miso soup, crunchy veggie sushi rolls, veggie volcano rolls, rock city tofu. Service was incredible. The main chef came out to talk with us. Would definitely come back and recommend.
