The staff and the chef/owner were the highlights of our visit. We were here for the fish fry, and they did not disappoint. Options were cod, lake trout (local), whitefish (local), and salmon. We ordered 1+ of each except the cod. And they were fried and/or grilled to perfection!

Buck’s is a real local place, but welcoming to those from out of town too. Ambience pleasantly reflects the UP. Easy on-street parking. Good food. Well worth the time to drive into town.
