Time to test out another local restaurant to see what’s good.
If you’re a thin crust fan, Buck’s Pizza would be a good choice. Their crust isn’t overly cracker-crispy but it’s nice and thin.
They’re a carryout only spot, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for delivery. Food was ready in under 20 minutes which was great. You also have the option to have any pizza made “take and bake” style, so you can make it at home.
Their prices were pretty reasonable. Their 14 in cheese runs $13 and you add on toppings from there. They also had a sweet coupon deal on their website which saved us $2 on each pizza, so make sure to check out the site before you order. Also make sure to save your receipts; ten receipts gets you a free pizza!
Their party style slices were pretty good, though they ranged in size pretty widely. The cheese was nice and stretchy when warm, but like with most pizzas, the longer it sits it does start to firm up so make sure to eat it while piping hot. The pepperoni was very generously topped, definitely nice that they don’t skimp on toppings.
If you’re looking for a crazy twist on pizza with some funky flavors, Buck’s might not be the place for you. But if you want a thin, classic, tasty pizza, it’s definitely worth a try.

If you love a classic, thin and crispy crust, this is your place. I love the sauce and everything about the pizza. The best part is, you can buy pizza dough to make your own at home.

An Eastside staple. I haven’t called Buck’s in years. But after the sudden passing of my daily bestie I needed to honor her memory and memorialize this moment with Buck’s Pizza. This was Carryn’s favorite spot for pizza. She grew up just behind the Walgreens in that cul-de-sac on Busse. The corner of Cottage Grove Rd and Atwood are her old stomping grounds. This town will never be the same without her. Here’s to you, best friend. I’m lost without you. Thanks Buck’s. Hit the spot.

One of the few old school carry out only pizza places i’ve eaten at my whole life. I grew up down the street when it was a corner spot in a car wash. Its always been carry out only and only has a pizza oven and counter. Every birthday or other event always included Bucks Pizza. Over the years they did open some other locations, but in the end the OG location has been the best. There’s something about the foil sheet o. Top of the pizza and air filled paper bag which works better than any box. Now that I live in the Milwaukee area I always pick up some par-bakesto keep in my freezerat home so I can enjoy one anytime. They always have a coupon to collect 12 and get a free pizza. When living in the west and only able to stop a couple times a year they never hS a peilblen taking years old coupons.
Remember it is carry-out only and only open in the evenings.

Every time we have picked up at Bucks it has been an amazing experience! Greatest crispy crust, perfect amount & blend of cheeses, we love, love it with sausage & jalapeño. We can’t wait to get home to eat it! Something about Bucks consistently amazing!

I can’t say enough good things about bucks! This is easily one of our favorite pizzas in Madison. Thin crust quality toppings great cheese, every time we get them they are just a treat. Heads up that they are take out only but it is absolutely worth it. If you want to try them but can’t do the takeout option the Jade Monkey right next door is perfectly fine with you bringing the pizza in there and eating. And Jade monkey and Buck’s Pizza makes a great combination

Its pretty good. We saw a lot of ratings and were intrigued. It’s genuinely no frills pizza, very bar style. The order was fast, the service was good, sadly the crust was a little over cooked and had a few charred spots but all in they are what they advertised. If you are looking for a solid bar style thin crust pizza for a reasonable price this is an ok option. I’d recommend it but keep your expectations real. I will say the sauce is surprisingly good, possibly the best part.
Thanks Bucks for a pretty decent pizza. Cheers to another 60 years!

We love Buck’s Pizza. Every time I come up from KC, I always have to stop and get my husband a pizza to bring home. We always just get a large cheese. There have been times when we have stayed for an extended time up there, and I took them my own vegan cheese blend, and they made me a vegan pizza that way. Next time I go up to Madison, I will be doing that again. It’s a must stop. My family also loves their pepperoni.

This is the place my dad took me just down the street to when I was very young. Driving home with a hot pizza on my lap. I lost my dad when I was 8 and I`m 57 now. This pizza is incredibly good. It`s my special occasion pizza! Best thin crust pizza I have found. I get them “par-baked” and finish cooking at home. Save your receipts-11th pizza is FREE!

We’ve gotten pizza here two times. The cheese and sauce have a really nice flavor. Both times the crust was undercooked in my opinion, like the pizzas were cooked the least amount of time possible. The second time there was actually some raw dough and they weren’t cut. Also the toppings are each $2-$3 extra and weren’t on the entire pizza.
