I love me some good BBQ but this place wasn’t it. My Burnt ends were dry and tough my wife’s pulled pork was the same. Little flavor so I had to drown in BBQ sauce (spice sauce was actually pretty good)
I was not impressed with the service either. Not very friendly or professional.
The restaurant also made me feel dirt. I can see why they have had issues with bugs….
I can’t recommend this place.

We were craving some BBQ and decided to stop in today for lunch. I had had buckingham before and remembered it being great but it had been years. I got the nachos and my partner got the pulled pork sandwich. When I tell you, I think he’s a fan for life now!
The place was clean, the staff were so friendly and inviting, and the food was amazing. It came out so quick! Absolutely MASSIVE servings and definitely affordable. (I wish i would have caught her name) But the lady who checked us out had such great customer service. We chatted and joked like we had been friends forever. Its a smaller place so you’re bound to spark conversation with those sitting next to you, which is what I’ve always loved so much about living in the south. It was a great experience, and we will definitely be making a regular visit up from Branson.

The rating speaks for itself if you are reading this. We were referred here from the route 66 visitor center as the local favorite BBQ joint.
You can smell the bbq pit from miles away. Neighbors must love or hate the place as it smells like yummy goodness all day. The meats were tender and moist, with the burnt ends being very tender. They offer kids size meals, which are the right size for smaller tummies.
Staff was friendly and very patient as you weigh through all the food options.

I’ve ate at a lot of BBQ places in Missouri and Arkansas. Today was the first time trying Buckingham’s and it did not disappoint. It’s not everyday you find a place that blows your mind with every bite. 10 / 10 5 stars isn’t enough. The staff was amazing as well, especially the cashier that commented on my wife’s nails. She went above and beyond for us and had such a great personality for customer service. I will highly recommend this place to everyone I know and will be come back here as often as I can.

Generous portions, friendly staff, great service tasty food. Best ribs in Springfield! Only recommendation would be to have wet wipes available. Meals are very reasonable priced.

We ordered the Dave’s Pit Combo loaded with all the meats, ribs, hot link, pulled pork, brisket, ham & turkey. Everything was delicious. The rib meat fell clean from the bone and had the perfect smoked flavor without the prominent rub flavor. All the meats were juicy and flavorful. We also ordered the ham & cheese fries, which were surprisingly good. The seating area is a bit small, but they have additional seating in an upstairs area. Prices matched quality & quantity. Overall, it is one of the best places to eat in Springfield.
UPDATE: yet another fabulous meal. The food is by far some of the best I’ve had. Portions are huge, and the meat is so tender. You must try it!

Good barbeque! Everything was fresh and very generously portioned. I got the chicken tenders with potato salad and pit beans. Very tasty combo! They gave me bread which I did not understand why. Maybe to make a sandwich with it? Kinda odd because the meal was not marketed as a sandwich. I enjoyed their “spicy” barbeque. My husband and I agreed that it was not spicy in the least. The flavor is good but the spice level is just not there. Decent barbeque otherwise. Might be back if I have a hankering for their barbeque.

Good food and lovely service. I had the ribs and brisket combo , the ambiance is nice and cozy. The smoker outside smokign all day, the ribs were nice not too saucy and the brisket was served chopped , I do love it sliced. A ‘may visit’ again place.

So good! I always get pulled pork and baked beans. They are consistent and I value that. The drive thru is pretty quick, their service is always wonderful too! The parking is a little wonky sometimes but worth the mild annoyance once getting your order in. If I had to critique any one menu item; their fries could do without so much salt. Easy to avoid once you know though. I eat here all the time and it hasn’t broke my bank. Definitely worth trying for yourself!
