Came in during prime lunch, very crowded but was able to get seats outside for 7, it was chilly but they had warmers going.
Food came very fast, within 10 min. Food was very good. California gold sauce is gold, goes with everything. Fri tips were moist and tender, sides all hit good.

Lively bbq restaurant with a full bar inside. You order first then can decide where you want to sit. Their corn bread is so good. They have tons of bbq options but at night they sometimes run out. So it’s not super formal but casual with restaurant quality meals and dining. I wanted to get a salad and I asked what the most popular is and they said the Caesar Pleaser is pretty popular. So I got that with tri tip and got it medium rare. It was a pretty big portion so I had leftovers and it was still really juicy heating it up for leftovers. The salad was nice and hearty. Their cuts looks good and their sandwiches and sides too. Drinks are self serve and their bbq sauce was good. My tri tip came with au jus. My recent experience at Buckhorn BBQ and Grill far surpassed my expectations, earning it a well-deserved five-star rating in my book. The quality of the food was exceptional. My bacon cheddar burger was cooked to absolute perfection; the bacon was crispy, the cheddar melted beautifully, and the patty was juicy and flavorful. My dining companion and riding buddy Frank, raved about his tri-tip burger, equally impressed by its preparation.
Beyond the main courses, the sides were equally delightful. The fries were crisp and golden, and the onion rings were perfectly battered and not at all greasy. The selection of soft drinks was impressive, offering a wide variety of choices to complement our meal.
But the culinary excellence wasn’t the only highlight. The atmosphere at Buckhorn BBQ and Grill was incredibly inviting—comfortable, friendly, and conducive to relaxed conversation. First time ever at Buckhorn for dinner, and it was great. It was busy during dinner time, but we sat outside in the patio. The ordering was a bit different, but I really liked it this way of ordering. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. We also got drinks at the bar, and the bartender was very kind and provided great service.

10/29/25 @1141am, which is still early and barely anyone in the restaurant, I ordered a side of the Yummy Jake Beans “to go.” I waited outside for my order to be called through their pick up window. However, I ended up waiting 10 minutes and rang the bell for staff to see what’s taking so long to get a side of beans? Im writing this review bc I left a 12% tip and felt as though they should never have received a tip with having to wait 10 minutes for an order that was already pre-made, it just needed to be scooped, transferred and bagged. Very disappointed in the service. I think food industries have forgotten the background story behind tips.

We enjoyed our meal. We ordered the three meat, family feast $108 with tri tip steak, 2x ribs. The sides were broccoli salad, roadhouse onions and roasted vegetables. The family feast comes with a salad and cornbread and/or dinner rolls. The food arrived quickly. The rare tri tip steak was a bit chewy but had a good smokey flavor. The ribs were not the fall of the bone type. There was a +$16 surcharge for 2x ribs. It got tedious after a while and we had to get a side of BBQ sauce. The sides were great, especially the roadhouse onions. It goes well with the salad, giving it an extra crunch.
Minor issues:
They serve cold butter with the dinner rolls making it impossible to spread. For the entire meal, there was an un-bused table next to us. It is not appetizing to see dirty dishes with half eaten food on them. I felt bad for the crowd of people waiting outside for a table. If only the staff would bus the dirty tables, they would be eating already.

The sides were a little underwhelming, nothing special, but honestly, the meat was so fantastic that it didn’t even matter much. A relaxed, casual to grab some BBQ and drinks, give this place a try. You won’t regret the tri-tip!

Just stopped here to get some lunch. They were busy, but we were able to place our order and get a table very quickly. My husband got the garlic pulled pork and I got the Swiss mushroom sandwich. It was delicious!! Food came fast and warm. My sandwich had a great amount of meat!! I ate my husband’s coleslaw salad and it was the best one I have ever had. They had plenty of options for drinks and extra sauces. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The restroom was clean. Nice staff. Would definitely come back. Great prices (our bill was only 35$ for 2 sandwiches, one soda, fries and the salad).

I had the lavender lemonade cocktail—it was decent—but my fiancé ordered a custom smoky Old Fashioned that he absolutely loved. The star of the show? That Tri Tip Burger. He couldn’t stop talking about it all weekend! I went with the charred tri tip entrée, which was flavorful and satisfying.
The mac & cheese was creamy—could’ve used a bit more punch in flavor—but the BBQ beans were delicious, and the fries were so popular, we heard they often sell out!
Overall, Buckhorn nailed it with bold flavors, a great bar setup, and an atmosphere that makes you want to kick back and stay a while. We’ll definitely be back (especially for that burger!).
