nice crunchy long mild garlic roll.
Meat quality and cut was excellent and much better than Lucilles! If you want great BBQ, come here or Buckhorn Folsom, dont be disappointed with Lucilles unfortunate consistent lack of quality and reduced value.

Buckhorn BBQ + Grill in Rocklin is easily one of the best BBQ spots in town. I stopped in for lunch and was impressed with how quickly the food came out and how friendly the staff was. The Buckhorn Burger was fantastic—juicy, flavorful, and great value for the price. The restaurant has a cozy, local feel with a comfortable dine-in atmosphere. Conveniently located off Sierra College Blvd near Sierra College, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing meal in Rocklin.

We ordered the Big Beef Sandwich with mushrooms and a half slab of ribs, served with fries and coleslaw. The sandwich was underwhelming – mushrooms were barely detectable, and the beef lacked flavor. The ribs, while nicely seasoned, were tough to cut and overly chewy. By the time I managed to separate them, they had cooled to room temperature. On a brighter note, the coleslaw was fresh and delicious, offering a crisp contrast to the heavier items.

No, this isn’t an employee or freind doing a random 5 star review. This establishment is clean, organized and very professional. The meat is delicious and cooked exactly to your liking. Apple slaw is to die for, so is the tri tip, garlic mashed potatoes, fried pickles, everything was awesome! So is the price! 60 bucks for a family of 3 these days?! That’s unheard of! Highly recommend!

I had the full rack of ribs with mac & cheese, garlic seasoned mashed potatoes, and beans—and everything was absolutely delicious! The ribs were perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with smoky flavor. The sides were just as impressive—the mac & cheese was creamy, the mashed potatoes were rich with just the right amount of garlic, and the beans had great seasoning. Amazing food, generous portions, and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Consistent! Absolutely consistently good! Everytime we come here we order similar things, trying new variations, but good isnwjats good! Shredded pork is a little dry but a good fix is their BBQ sauces! Tri tip, medium rare, yes please. The burger is good and the fried pickles are not soggy, outer fried breading is crispy amd seasoned well. Also recommend the buckhorn bowl and and a salad with roadhouse onions!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Buckhorn BBQ. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. We ordered the Piggy Tuesday. Only available on Tuesdays. Mouthwatering ribs, smoked sausage, creamy mashed potatoes, crunchy onion rings, pulled pork, and corn bread.
In addition, we got two delicious mock tails the perfect complement for the meal.
For anyone looking for good food and great service. It definitely hit the spot! Absolutely delicious and affordable. Better than typical fast food.

I really liked it. We ordered a feast for 2 with 2 entrees and 2 sides.
The tri tip was cooked really well. We ordered it medium and it came pink, which was fine for us. It was very tender and juicy. The char on the outside was fantastic.
Also order the bbq chicken. Comes with a breast-wing and a leg-thigh. The sauce was nicely glazed on. Not too strong but an excellent flavor. The meat was juicy and seasoned perfectly.
For sides, was got garlic mash and gravy. I liked it, my wife wasn’t blown away. It has a subtle garlic flavor. It is a lumpy mash – which I like. Typical brown gravy, seasoned well.
The other side was the roadhouse onions. The are tumbleweed. Thinly cut and battered. I didn’t care for the batter. It was seasoned well but it is a dry batter and the taste of flour is too strong for me.
Cornbread is excellent but a little small.
As far as the dining room. A little small but tall ceilings.
And some of the staff act like they have a job to do – bringing your food out really fast, but it took 10 minutes to flag someone down to get a Togo box. We thought they forgot about us.

I ordered a bbq beef burger Probably the driest meat I’ve ever had at a restaurant and it didn’t come with bbq it literally has bbq in the name “bbq beef burger”. you have to walk up to the counter to order your meal and drink which instantly throws off the experience when you go up to order your food you might want to leave something at your table or your table might just get swiped by someone else the food came out fast as heck which indicates to me they are heating up the premade entries overall this was a disappointing experience hope it improves but I won’t be returning.

This was my third time to order the Tri tip. It was delicious . The Server always asks me how I want it cooked and how thick I want it cut. Everything I’ve had at this place is so good. The people who work there are always very nice.
