Social Profile:

Buck and Honey Birkinbine were one of the area’s best-known residents. They once owned and farmed the land where our first location in Sun Prairie sits today. Together they lived a life of service and philanthropy in the community and they were always well known to enjoy hosting good company at their home on Windsor Street. It is in their spirit that we present to you Buck & Honey’s Restaurants.

I have never had a bad experience, at Buck & Honey’s. Tonight was no different. The food was excellent. Lily, our server was amazing. I, of course did a poor job of photographing my food, so per usual. You’ll have to settle for an empty plate, but I did get a picture of our family favorite, the the gluten-free flourless chocolate cake. It is to die for. Make sure you check out Buck&Honey’s in Mount Horeb.

This is a love letter to the staff at Buck & Honey in Mt Horeb.

The staff, from the General Manager, Jeff to the stand-out staff including and especially Krystal, but also including Lisa, Valentina and the other exceptional serving staff who do an really top job of being both friendly, anticipating our needs and fulfilling our requests in a manner that appears effortless because they know how to do this with Wisconsin friendliness. However, where their real power lies is in having a really good relationship with the cooks and kitchen staff who are always delivering such amazing dishes and I know they all go out of their way to make our dining experiences absolutely wonderful.

We can’t thank you enough, but I want everybody to know how much we appreciate our experiences with these incredible people at Buck & Honey’s

Many thanks again.

The Eggamole & House-made blue corn tortilla chips were phenomenal! Also tried the seared ahi salad, but thought it lacked flavor outside of the Wasabi aioli. Service was excellent.

I held my baby shower at Martinson Hall in January. The room was plenty large enough to fit the 35 people who attended, and we had complete freedom to decorate the room as we desired. We were able to bring in a small lighting package, decorations, table linens, etc., all of which we set up ourselves. The food was incredible, and attendees raved about the appetizers and lunch buffet for days afterward. They easily accommodated dietary restrictions, ensuring that everything was labelled appropriately. The whole team at Buck & Honey’s was easy to work with, and our event specialist during the shower was a delight to have involved, even throwing in suggestions for decorating and set up from past events she had done. I highly recommend this event space, and Buck & Honey’s Mt. Horeb location in general.

We hosted a baby shower today at Buck n’ Honeys. It was the perfect venue! Lisa was amazing—helping us set up, providing extra touches to the decorating, and somehow managing to not only make the (delicious) food appear but also cleaning up on the stealth. We ended with happy parents-to-be, happy guests, and oh-so-happy hosts. Thank you, Lisa and Buck n’ Honeys.

Great experience overall! I went in by myself for brunch on a random Saturday. I admitted I was celebrating a small win for myself before celebrating my friend’s wedding later that day. I was just by myself – 1 top – and I was treated like royalty. I always had what I needed. I was given great recommendations. The food was excellent. Try the bagel sandwich for brunch! Funny enough, they were catering the wedding event later that night! The food was even better then 🙂

Edit: forgot to add! Restaurants love saying “fresh fruit” when it never really is. The server said she saw the kitchen cutting fruit for my order and I could tell she was not lying! So so good!!

The food, service, and atmosphere was excellent except for the noise. I would guess that approximately 25% of the tables or less were occupied. I was disappointed in the amount of noise bouncing around the room. We had great pan fried walleye and stuffed chicken breast. Green beans and garlic mashed potatoes were great sides. They had an amazing carryout business.

Incredible food and huge drink menu. The Starter section of the menu was limited. There was a vegan option available as well as plenty of vegetarian options. Able to substitute a Beyond Burger in any dish.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception and it was beautiful! Valerie and all of the staff were excellent. The venue is gorgeous, and is suited to events up to 150 people, which is how large our wedding was. Beyond that I think it would be a bit crowded. My 3 bridesmaids and I were also able to get ready on location. The bridal suite was perfect for our group size as well. We ordered food and drinks at the bar while we were getting ready and had an excellent server during that time. Great venue, great food, great drinks!
