Would recommend reservations for inside seating during cooler times of the year. They had a bunch of outdoor seating, but was not being utilized because of the cool weather; in warmer weather walk-ins likely would be better received.
The atmosphere was cozy! We loved the biergarten with the handicraft vendors and food.
The mulled wine was AMAZING!!! Hands down on the sauerkraut! The best I have had since my Great Grandma’s!
I cannot wait to bring my parents in July, they will love it!
Service was pretty good for the most part.
Food was amazing!!!
Our group got everything on the menu and I’m gonna say everything I ate was great.
I don’t think the most expensive charcuterie board was worth it, but we enjoyed it for the most part. Just isn’t enough for the price.
Don’t be scared about it saying you have to go thru the vap shop. It’s not bad. It’s the only vap shop that doesn’t smell like a one.
Prices are high, but my family really enjoyed it.
Would I come back, ohh yeah.

Such authenticity and flavor ! Beer and wine list was divine !!! Will be a regular regular from here going forward!
Looking forward to working my way down the menu !!!
The beer selection is fantastic, and the food is even better. You must try the currywurst and the jägerschnitzel — both absolutely delicious and incredibly authentic.
The potatoes had a very strong, distinctive flavor—personally, I would have toned that down by about 50%. Instead of thinking, “That’s interesting, what is that?” after a bite, it was more like, “Wow, that’s a lot,” to the point where I wasn’t sure I wanted a second bite. The sauerkraut was very similar in that respect, with an equally strong, overpowering flavor. Both would have been much better if the intensity had been dialed back by about half.
On the positive side, the pretzel with beer cheese was absolutely fantastic, and the brats were also excellent—well prepared and full of flavor. Those were definite standouts.
The environment, however, was absolutely fantastic—quaint, warm, and inviting, and a really nice place to sit and enjoy a meal.
Overall, I’d stick to the brats and pretzels here. I’m not sure I’d spend another $40 on an entrée. Out of three entrées we tried, only one was truly great—and it also happened to be the cheapest.
Regardless of how many people in your party, MAKE A RESERVATION. We got put on a the waitlist, 45 min to 60 min, but we were still able to sit at the bar, we got our drinks…
Thankfully we were able to put in the food order as soon as the kitchen opened… so we ate at the bar.. we got dessert and then the text came in for our table.
It is LOUD, so if you are hard of hearing… it might be difficult.
We, my husband and I were both stationed in Germany, for more than a decade and it felt like home.
We came on a Wednesday, so be advised that there is no parking right in front of the restaurant. There is a farmers market on the street!! We parked down the street a ways.
