We live in a small town. People know each other. Kids go to school together. Families support local businesses. That’s why this situation is even more disturbing.

Since Fall 2025, I have had at least six separate incidents with the female night manager (possibly Petra), and her behavior is not just rude — it is aggressive, hostile, and completely out of control.

This is a repeated pattern. Not a bad day. Not a misunderstanding.

She has cussed at me and at my 12-year-old daughter, flipped us off through the drive-thru window, laughed and pointed at us in a mocking way, slammed the window while I was speaking, shoved food into my car aggressively, and threatened to spit in our food. She has refused to enter my rewards account, refused to provide management information, and yelled in a demeaning tone instead of handling simple customer service issues like a professional adult.

She does not attempt to resolve situations — she escalates them. She speaks to customers with open hostility. Her body language, tone, and actions are confrontational and antagonistic. This is someone in a management position who appears to abuse her authority and create conflict instead of preventing it. Several of these incidents were witnessed by other employees.

On January 25, 2026 around 7 PM, she refused to hand us our food until she made a sarcastic comment directed at my two 12-year-old children who were simply laughing in the car. They were not being disruptive. They were not disrespectful. They were children laughing. For a grown adult manager to mock and intimidate kids over that is unacceptable.

It has now gone beyond the restaurant. In this small town, her 12-year-old brother is friends with my daughter. She involved him and had messages relayed to my child saying I am a “terrible person” and a “terrible mom.” She has even answer his phone- to say “I hope your mom can hear this” as she mocks my child and states her dislike for me. That is an adult woman inserting herself into children’s friendships to antagonize a 12-year-old girl. That is not normal, healthy, or professional behavior.

I know other families and even employees who have had similar issues with her. A close friend recently filed a complaint as well. This is clearly a pattern within the community.

I now avoid this location completely. If I hear her voice on the speaker, I leave. No parent should have to worry about being cursed at, threatened, mocked, or having their children targeted by a fast food manager.

This is a manager representing this store/ she is out of control and unfit for her position. Corporate needs to seriously review the footage and address this immediately. This behavior is hostile, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable.
No customer — especially children — should ever experience this.

I want to also add that I have written multiple emails to McDonalds, called both the store and customer support, and now I’m leaving reviews. I hope McDonald’s steps in to take this situation seriously.

Like the lady before me, my fiancé went to pick up the food we ordered and he waited 40 MINUTES before he went inside (mean while on the app it says it was picked up and told me to enjoy my IMAGINARY FOOD THAT HE INFACT DID NOT GET) where he waited even longer because no one would talk to any of them (at this point there were at least 3 of them standing there waiting for someone to talk to them) finally he got to talk to someone and they said we’re going to “make it” he then got the food and left which they actually forgot a burger but I told him to forget it since it was already a pain to get anyone to say anything before. we live 5 minutes from there and when he got home the food was literally ice cold like the other lady said. I get that it’s fast food and it gets busy when everyone has the same idea to eat there, but that just was absolutely RIDICULOUS. This McDonald’s was actually my favorite one because every time I went the food was good but my past couple experiences with them has been bad.. I have no idea what changed but the higher ups need to do something there is most definitely something wrong!

Horrible manager at this location.
I was driving a bus for a school. I pulled all the way to the side out of the way of traffic while my students got food on the way back from a trip. She came out knocked very hard on the bus doors and was yelling at me. Zero professionalism, I told her she didn’t need to be aggressive or rude, she said “I don’t really care” when I asked for her name she refused to give it. Will contact the franchise owners directly in hopes they can help her understand simple manners and professionalism when dealing with customers.

Manager on shift didn’t want to disclose her name after having an attitude about me picking up a happy meal toy they forgot. Not a big deal about the toy, but the instant attitude over something so simple blows my mind. This location lacks customer service.

This McDonald’s is absolutely disgusting. Every time I go there, the tables are sticky with rotting food and soda. Additionally, the assuming manager (white, glasses, brown hair) was cussing and swearing about two kids to her staff while I was there. The atmosphere is horrible, and the food isn’t much better.

Young whute girl working the headset and handing the door out at the second window has a nasty attitude. You can hear it in the speaker and when you pull up she looks like she’s ready to murder the world. No words spoken just a glare and frown. The fries aren’t cooked all the way. I got two number 7’s (10 piece meals) one box has 7 nuggets the other box has 8. No sauce, no napkins. Won’t be back. Every time I visit this location in Rockton,IL there’s a rude worker or cold food

Tuesday sept. 30th around 7 pm, pulled up to order and sat in silence. we were the only car. the pre-recorded voice finally says “if you are using a code, go ahead with your order”.
when we said “hello?” , a girl said “someone will take your order in a moment”. we waited another minute and a car pulled up to the second ordering lane. The same girl started taking their order instead. we decided to pull forward to window so we weren’t served out of order (happens too often) . as soon as the window opened I recognized her from my last bad experience at this location. we explained the situation, and when we tried to order , got a few words in before she interrupted and said “is that it?” . she has the worst attitude I’ve ever experienced at a McDonald’s. this isn’t the first time she has interrupted me while trying to order. this girl has no business in the food industry. if you look at the Google reviews for this location, my experience is not exclusive. many of the reviews are referring to an unprofessional female employee . I’m surprised she still has a job here, but nothing really surprises me at McDonald’s anymore. I will go out of my way to avoid this location in the future, perhaps all of them.

dear owner, hire literally anyone else .

I wanted to leave a good review after seeing a negative one from Kathryn. I was at this McDonald’s at the same time and had a completely different experience.
When I walked in, the restaurant smelled fine but Kathryn said it smelled like sewage it didn’t, and the tables were spotless. Everything looked sanitary, just as it should be. I also had the same soda as Kathryn and it tasted just fine—nothing flat about it.
Kathryn claimed her food was cold and disgusting, but I saw her eat every last bite. It seemed like she was more interested in picking a fight with the workers than anything else. In fact, the staff were extremely polite and professional throughout the situation. They brought out fresh food quickly and handled everything with kindness, despite being yelled at.
The young workers here did an excellent job staying calm and providing great service. My own meal was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
10/10 would recommend this McDonald’s. The staff are kind, and the environment is always good when I visit.

I gave them the benifit of the doubt when it took 30 minutes for a curbside order. I went inside and my ticket was still sitting untouched; I dared to try the service a second time and another 20 minute wait and they brought me a shake that was so liquified it might as well be chocolate milk. This store needs to get their shit together
