We were recommended to try this restaurant from a local, however didn’t have the best experience. From the minute we were sat, we waited over 10 minutes, while servers were sweeping around us, servers walking by, yet nobody ever greeted or acknowledged us. We should’ve left then. I asked the person sweeping, if someone was coming to serve us. Our server, Carlee, did not seem to have any interest in serving us. I don’t know if it’s a race thing or what, as both my friend & I are minorities. Although she was very quick to greet the table that sat behind us that were white. It was not busy, but we felt neglected the entire time and she kept walking away from the table as we were talking to her. This is a family style restaurant and everything is meant to serve 4+ people. Chicken carbonara was great ($40), but the brussel sprouts were lacking flavor and hard ($20). We will not be back.

Me and my Birthday company had a great time, it was her birthday and they came to our table to sing and give her a free dlgiant desert that was really good.

Visiting from out of town and was excited to come back to Buca as we had ate here 6 years ago and loved it. We got the lasagna and garlic bread. The garlic bread was good. The lasagna looked good when it was brought out but was so disappointing. It was bland and nothing like we remembered. When we first walked in we were told the bar was closed for some reason and we noticed that the air conditioning was struggling to keep up. It was very warm. Our server was polite and attentive and the brownie sundae was very good which is why we gave this review a two star instead of a one. We probably will not be back as with the cost of $52 for the lasagna, that is quite a lot to try again in hopes of it being better. Disappointed also that they removed the cheesecake from the menu.

Having a company Christmas Party with 50 people is tricky. There are few places that can accommodate that many for a casual sit-down dinner while still maintaining an intimate setting.
This year, we came across Buca di Beppo in St. Paul.
Sally, the events coordinator, was great in answering questions and providing the necessary details. The price was in our budget and so we decided we’d go with it.
We were elated at how great everything went. Alisa, the restaurant manager was extremely helpful in explaining how the night would go and was flexible with our desired needs. The servers she assigned to us were the absolute BEST! They were attentive and friendly and very efficient. They kept us informed of what they were doing and also were flexible with our program for the evening.
It’s hardly an afterthought but the food was amazing as you’d expect from Buca’s.
If you are considering a place for a corporate event or even just a family dinner, consider Buca’s, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely old fashion Italian restaurant. Food is good and made from scratch, so if you have any food restrictions they can usually accommodate you. Watch the good portions though. They are huge and meant for multiple people. We ate family style sharing a couple of dishes and it worked out well… although the spaghetti and meatballs off of the kids menu could easily feed most adults. Recommended.

Hugo!!!!!!! We had a dinner for our son tonight to celebrate him turning 15. There’s not a lot that gets me excited about a restaurant in general, but Hugo….. Let me tell you, when a waiter is attentive without over taking the meal, and entertaining, and fun… Well let me tell you, there were 7 of us and we all loved it due to this waiter. When we left, we were all still talking about how great he was. I feel I left a fair tip, but man I wish I had the money to have left him a lot more. Did I mention Hugo? He really made this dinner great. Thank you Hugo!!
