The food was fantastic! Service was great. The kitchen was slow, but the atmosphere was fun and entertaining. Chicken Parmesan is delicious with pasta a plenty. The food here is served family style which is fun. Also, the price for things is very reasonable! Walked away satisfied with the entire experience. Especially since my wallet didn’t suffer.

I have heard about this Italian place. It was my first time. We made reservations, they also had no walk-ins sign on their door. People with reservations were walking out without being served due long wait. People who ate were wishing us best of luck on their way out of the door. The wait was impossible. I am a big foodie and our group of 6 was in festive mood. However, it would be one and only star if not for our server. She worked hard to make it work. The kitchen was backed up, the garlic bread $14 didnt come out until we ate and asked for boxes. Couldn’t feel the “fancy” experience due to every table still having piles and piles of dishes. The famous meatball spaghetti dish only had two meatballs and a pot full of spaghetti. Hard to feel the value of paying over $36 for just a bowl of pasta. My plate was warm not hot and you could tell the pasta has been sitting out before it was served. The place knew our experience wasnt great and gave us complimentary brownie ice cream for our table. Kids enjoyed the treat. My bill for two people was over $100.

Our waitress, Sunshine, was the best! She was very personable and provided my boyfriend and I with the best service! The sauce was amazing!! I come from a big Italian family and this restaurant is true Italian and it shows: the portions they give you, you’re sitting around the pope for dinner and looking at the artwork, and the pasta!! The sauce is amazing, the meatballs are huge, and all the food was made with love! We will be back❤️

Buca used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but after my experience last night, I’m not sure that I will be going back. We had a 6:15
reservation for 2 people and we weren’t seated until 6:45.
The waiting area was packed with 40+ people in a room meant for 12, causing it to be so hot that I almost threw up.
While walking to our table, we saw at least 6 open tables that people waiting in that cramped room could’ve been at. Two of the plates given to us were clearly dirty with bits of food on them. We waited an additional 30 minutes before I asked if we could get some bread, and the waiter rolled her eyes. When she finally brought a loaf over, there was none of the signature dip. It took an extremely long time to get our food and we never ended up receiving refills on our drinks. When we did receive our food, it was absolutely delicious, but I don’t know with the service and price that it was worth it. Portions are big which is one thing I love about them since you will likely have leftovers. We never got another loaf of bread which was disappointing, and the waiter practically threw the bill at us.
This experience definitely shouldn’t have taken 3 hours.
I used to love Buca so much, and I hated to write this review, but I’m worried with the way things are being run that this location will soon close.

Stopped by for dinner this evening and was pleasantly surprised by many aspects of the restaurant. The decor was absolutely wild and each room was themed with an assortment of art and photographs. The food is served family style and we enjoyed two of the $49 for 4 family meals between our party of 7. It was a lot of food and we enjoyed it all especially the chicken parm and garlic bread! I’d definitely come check this place out if you are in downtown Columbus with a party of friends.

My family of 4 and I went here on Dec. 23rd, 2025. This was the same night as Trans Siberian Orchestra playing right next door at Nationwide Arena. My family and I had intelligently made reservations months ahead of time. When we arrived despite the signs on the door stating no walk-ins were accepted that day tons and tons of walk-ins had been trying to get in all day and were still milling about 2 hours before the show. Their opinion of this nights food service should not be taken seriously.
We checked in within minutes, our table was ready in about 10-15 minutes which was extremely reasonable since despite the signs the restaurant was trying to accommodate some of the whinier non-planners. Our food service was excellent. Our server was on point the entire night, and the food was top notch. No aspect of our visit suffered because of the packed house and the poor planning of other diners. Buca di Beppo handle all that with grace. We will definitely be returning very soon. Thanks Buca!

Went to this place during my vacation and omg, I was amazed.
Honestly, portion wise, it is a LOT but that is why it’s so perfect to go with friends and/or family! Along with the prices, $30 for a huge plate of pasta that could be shared is a huge score! Especially, in the city and during this time.
The food was amazing and our server, Brittany, was such a sweetheart. She was fast, gave us attention (even though we were only a party of 2), and made sure we were happy. We had a reservation for 7 and was sat around 10 minutes after 7, which is understandable since it was busy.
The vibe was so fun and I can tell they clean very well.
Overall, the best restaurant I’ve been to. I will definitely come back when I’m back in Columbus.

Took my niece for her first visit. We had not been in years. Three adults. We ordered a salad, lasagna and garlic bread. Thought we might have leftovers. Not a crumble left. Remembered portions being bigger. Not a great value now. The lasagna portion is ideal for 2 grown adults to split. For reference, large serving spoon is pictured. The food tasted good.
Environment is neat. If you have not been there, the walls are plastered with everything Italy.
I was not jiving with our waiter. He was friendly and provided OK service but his personality was a little off putting for me. He even brought out his phone to show us personal pictures, unsolicited.
Probably won’t be going back anytime soon. Other options in the area. And hard to get anything that doesn’t have dairy.
