Amazing meat feast. Love the Low and Slow BBQ, so happy to have found proper quality American style BBQ back in the Toon, its been too long! We had the 4 meats combo box, absolute feast, perfect amounts of meat and sides. Would go as far as saying slightly bigger on the meats than other places we’ve been to in the NE. Lovely folk, took the time to talk through everything, don’t often see such pride in the produce!

I really wanted to like this place after hearing so many good things! Maybe it was just an off day, so benefit of the doubt, I’d try it again.
The first thing I noticed was that the portions were small – I ordered the two meat box with two sides: brisket and ribs with mac&cheese and tots. The brisket was mainly just fat trimmings (although it was super flavourful!), I was hoping for a little bit more meat. The ribs didn’t have much meat on them either and wasn’t the most seasoned. Mac and cheese was a little bland and didn’t have a sriracha taste, but it wasn’t the worst I’ve had, just mid.
I also got the Angus beef rib, which was also a lil small. I saw many pictures of other people’s short ribs and they were quite a bit bigger, so perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. However, it was delicious and very tender! There isn’t much smokiness in any of the meats but it’s the only bbq place around here and it was worth the try!
I am glad I tried this place, I’ve been craving American bbq for so long and this satisfied. I would like to try this place again with the hope of a better experience, but as this was a slightly higher price point for a takeaway at £45, it may be a little while before I go back

We were trying to decide what to eat tonight and don’t fancy the usual, when I remembered seeing this place on Facebook. No regrets whatsoever!!
We ordered 2x 3 meat/3 sides. Beef brisket, pork burnt ends, ribs, chicken wings, tots, fries, coleslaw, pickles, mac n cheese and beans. The fries and pickles were fine but I wouldn’t have them again. The absolute stars of the show were the chicken wings, burnt ends and beans. Those beans…..I wouldn’t do bad bad things for more of those beans! Smoky bbq sauce on beans of just the right bite. Perfection.
Think this might just be our new favourite takeaway spot!

Today I headed down to Bubba smoke house in the Ouseburn.
Opening end of November this has been on my list ever since.
All those unbelievable American bbq flavours right on your door step.
Super friendly staff and quick service. The food here is genuinely unbelievable the meat is tender and juicy absolutely jam packed with flavour.
I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone that’s a big fan of BBQ meats.

we got food yesterday pre ordered online and it was well worth the hour drive , we got a good few things to try and we had to take most home to finish it hah , by far my favourite so far is the beef rib sandwich, which is honestly unreal , Mrs got burnt ends loaded fries and they were amazing too

Definitely worth the hype! I was really excited to try this place after following their socials for a while. I enjoyed a really satisfying tray of food.
I had the 3 meats box including brisket, pork belly bites and ribs. All 3 were mouth-wateringly good. Melt in the mouth textures and amazing flavours.
For sides I had slaw, pit beans and seasoned tots. The slaw was refreshing and light. The beans were really tasty and sweet and came in a generous portion. The tots also came in great proportion and were lovely and crisp. They didn’t have a very distinctive seasoning really though, not that they needed it anyway.
I paid extra for a couple of sauces. The ranch was a little disappointing, more like a sour cream chive dressing really. Not bad but just not quite what I expected. The butter BBQ sauce though was delicious! The perfect addition to the meats.
Overall it’s decent value for the quality and volume of food. Maybe a touch expensive when you consider that it’s just a takeaway.
Definitely somewhere I recommend for any smoked meat lovers and somewhere I’ll return to for another meat feast.
