Nice quiet! My husband had never been to one I have been to both locations….happy me!He sampled both barbecue types the NC (vinegar taste) LA(sweet ketchupie taste) he loved both but chose NC barbecue with fried okra. I got my very favorite Chicken Salad sandwich with okra for him, too.

The Barbecue Combo was tasty and portions were perfect! Closest to NC Barbecue since I have been in Virginia. Staff is courteous. I did not like the sweet potato pie. It tasted whipped and no sign of that NC pie taste.

I enjoyed my meal. The beans were sweet and barbecuey, just like I like them with BBQ. The cole slaw was finely chopped and sweet. I adored the brisket that I had. It had a glaze on it that reminded me of Korean BBQ. It was so good. The hush puppies had a nice pillow texture and sweetness to them. Not so much a crunch, like I’m used to but they were still good. My hubby was raving about his onion rings. They were perfect.

It was good. A lot of people rave about this restaurant so I’ve been dying to try it for awhile now. BBQ was really good. Baked beans too. Mac n cheese was a big hit with my son. Although they did mess up a simple burger with cheese only so he wasn’t able to eat anything but the mac n cheese. Hush puppies were amazing too:)

The food is yummy. The portions are huge! We took our food home. We realized that we could have shared as our platters were large enough to half half left over. Service was fast. The sweet potatoe fries are incredible and the hush puppies are wonderful!

First time dining here! The NC style pork sandwich was amazing. My husband also loved the St. Louis style sandwich. The fries are fresh cut, crispy, and delicious. The hush puppies were fried to prfection, warm and soft on the inside. We will definitely be coming back!

The smoked chicken is probably my favorite followed by the sausage. And always get the sweet potato wedges, so good! But I haven’t had anything bad. I always get the smokers choice platter, a little pricey, but I can typically get 2 or 3 meals out of it, so it’s worth it. Very fresh, delicious bbq. And don’t forget the sauces! Get plenty! Definitely a step up from the old Long John Silvers that used to be there. The inside dinning is nice, kinda basic, but who really cares when the food is so good! You’d never guess it’s such a good place from the street, but it really is!
