Yo I had to come on here and make a review because…… This shit is delicious!!! I’d give 10 stars if I could . I’m typing with BBQ sauce on my fingers , cause I can’t put this shit down. The food is good as hell.

The restaurant is VERY clean and neat. The staff is friendly, polite and well groomed. We received our food quickly and it was presented neatly as well. The St. Louis sandwich was HUGE and my lunch partner said it was delicious. The hush puppies were good & the ribs were fair-good. They would have been EXCELLENT IF they hadn’t been overcooked. Part of my ribs had been so overcooked that it was like jerky! See picture below. I chose to have my sauce on the side & they were seasoned well. I absolutely love collard greens and green beans both of which were so bland that even adding hot sauce didn’t help! They could have been excellent also IF they had been seasoned better. Because the staff is so nice and the eatery is so clean I will return another time to try the St. Louis barbecue sandwich & I will review that as well. Thank you staff for being polite, professional and for keeping the restaurant clean. I appreciate your efforts.

Let me tell ya! This was some of thee best food from the Islands in Virginia!!! First let me start with Marissa she was amazing. Not only is she phenomenal she also pays attention to detail. When a host goes out of there way to remember your name and makes your evening by asking about the food. Making sure you enjoy every onuce. But the chef even came out and spoke with us for a little bit and recommended dishes as well. Brought me a homemade Jerk sauce that was absolutely delicious! I can not tell you one bad thing about this place. I will ALWAYS be a loyal customer to this establishment! They have done everything right!

It wasn’t very crowded during my initial foray into this local eatery. I’ve lived up the street almost 4 years and never knew what I was missing. The burger was juicy and gooey, just like I like it … topped with brisket and BBQ. Oh my gosh, it was really good, but very messy to eat. Thank goodness there’s a roll of paper towels on every table! The macaroni and cheese was enjoyable too. Maybe next time I’ll try their mac and cheese bites.

Went after church today. Friends in NC, where we are from recommended this restaurant.
It appears that the fries we received today had been fried a second time and they tasted that way. After a couple of bites, they went into the trash.
Very disappointing considering the price. One Brisket dinner with Mac & Cheese, fried okra, fries and a slice of cheesecake was about $40.00.
We would like to support the mission behind this local business without feeling like we’re being taken advantage of.

Bubba-N-Frank’s had a huge variety of food – I was expecting the typical BBQ menu of chopped BBQ, pulled BBQ, brisket, chicken, etc. They also have Philly sandwiches, chicken and dumplings, and more. The menu was so full I didn’t get a chance to take it all in.
I got the chopped BBQ, NC style and it was very good – stacked high with hot pork. The tenderness and flavor was some of the best I’ve had. Hush puppies are also good.
Staff is friendly, they’ll help you make a selection if you can’t decide what to have.
I’d go back again if I was in the area.

The pork rinds are the real deal. The fried catfish was extra clean and not fishy at all. The burger was also delicious. I also live the history behind this place. If ever I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely stop by.

I was very impressed. I ordered the chopped pork sandwich (NC Style) and sweet potato wedges. There was a slight wait for the food, but while I waited, the cashier brought out chips and salsa, which I thought was odd for a BBQ joint, but they were pretty good. My food came out piping hot! The sandwich was piled high with meat and the bun was toasted. It melted in my mouth. The sweet potato wedges were hot, crispy and good. The staff was also very friendly. Seemed like they were familiar with many of the customers. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Always a hit, I Love how everything taste fresh and smells wonderfully smokey, and there’s soooo much choices! . Also, found out they have a loyal Customer card and once you get (I forget if it’s 10 or 12 orders) you get a free kids meals or $9.89 taken off your next meal. Plenty of parking and seats, FANTASTIC Customer service as well.

They will sauce all their meats without telling you was very disappointed in that. Also, they have something on the menu called hush puppies but they’re actually corn fritters. They’re not bad corn fritters but if that’s you’re looking for hush puppies, these are not them
