During my visit to Galimbur, I decided to have dinner at Bubba Gump, mainly because I’m a big fan of Forrest Gump and have watched the movie many times.
We arrived around 7:00 pm and the restaurant was quite busy. While waiting for our table, we explored the gift shop located downstairs, which has a great selection of themed items and really sets the Forrest Gump vibe from the start.
Once seated, my companion ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was delicious and tasted very fresh. I ordered the BBQ pork ribs, and they were excellent very tender, full of flavor, and well served with fries.
Despite the restaurant being full, the service was fast and efficient The place is filled with Forrest Gump memorabilia, making the atmosphere fun and immersive.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. Good food, great theme, quick service, and reasonable prices. A solid option if you’re visiting Galimbur, especially if you’re a Forrest Gump fan.

We had an awesome experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Gatlinburg! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The service was fast, friendly, and full of that fun Forrest Gump personality the restaurant is known for.
The food was absolutely delicious—everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp dishes were the highlight (as expected!) but the entire menu had great options. Our drinks came out quickly, and everything from the appetizers to the entrée was spot-on.
The atmosphere is lively and full of great movie memorabilia, which makes the whole experience even more fun. The location is also perfect, right in the middle of Gatlinburg with great views and an easy walk to everything.
If you’re in town and want good food, great service, and a fun dining experience, Bubba Gump in Gatlinburg is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Everything tasted was absolutely delicious and well cooked and or mixed.
The service is very friendly and very knowledgeable about any inquiries that arise.
The garlic bread was insanely delicious and the gumbo was top notch!

The food had good flavor and we were very pleased. If you’re a fan of Forrest Gump then you’ll have a good time here. The service was quick and staff was friendly. Best to make a reservation online especially if it’s a busy time. They also have a souvenir shop with some cool things.

We had a disappointing experience with our pickup order at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.. After receiving a text that our order was ready, we arrived and were instructed to go upstairs and wait at the bar. The bartender was very kind and, since we had been directed upstairs, even offered to have the food brought up to us.
Unfortunately, we were then told that wouldn’t be possible. To make matters worse, 4 out of our 5 meals were not actually ready despite the “order ready” notification. We had to speak with several different servers, and no one seemed to know the status of our order. The final item a simple cheeseburger and fries came out about 20 minutes after the text saying everything was ready.
There were no apologies for the confusion or delay. It was a frustrating experience and not the best way to start our cabin trip in Gatlinburg. We hope they can improve communication and order management in the future. To make matters worse the food was not appetizing trust we tried to make it work as it’s close to 10 pm and don’t have many options in Gatlinburg…

We love Bubba Gump! We came here for lunch and was seated right away. Our waitress was really funny. Boil was great and so was the Mahi Mahi with shrimp! Merch is always funny and cute. Definitely recommend!

Despite its prime location and themed appeal, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. fell short during our visit. Service was inconsistent, and the food quality didn’t match the pricing or expectations. Unfortunately, my siblings experienced food poisoning after dining here, which turned a casual meal into a health concern. While some staff were attentive, the kitchen execution and hygiene standards need serious attention. Not recommended unless major improvements are made. The décor and movie references may appeal to fans, but the dining experience didn’t reflect the same care. Better seafood options are available nearby with more consistent quality and safety.
