This was the first time I’ve eaten at Btown Gyros. We split the Falafel Sandwich and it was delicious! Best falafel I’ve had in Bloomington. Falafel done right is flavorful, crunchy and NOT dry…Btown Gyros hit it! We will be back. Yum!

It’s a decent little place with what seemed like a grocery store tucked in at the back. I ordered the Chicken Gyro platter that comes with rice, pita breads, and feta cheese covered lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, and sides of tzatziki sauce and hummus (pictured). The rice was not fully cooked which was honestly confounding to me. The chicken part of the platter essentially consisted of thin slices of what I presume to be chicken sausages. But the part that really was illogical to me was that this place doesn’t offer drinking water. I presume one has to purchase a soda or bottled water. But I consider offering water to be a time-honored convention practiced since the time of Hammurabi. I don’t think I’ll be going here for lunch anytime soon.

I was excited when I saw they had shawarma on the menu as I lived in the Middle East for five years, but was disappointed once receiving my food. The chicken was not thinly sliced, it was more so in chunks. It also was not garnished like any chicken shawarma I’ve ever had. Maybe it was more in the style of Israeli shawarma as I think they may include these toppings, but I’m not sure. I was still hopeful that I’d enjoy this variation but I didn’t as the meat was a bit bland.

Great service, Tasty Lamb Gyro. I loved being able to shop at the little International market in the same building while my teen waited for their to-go order. Ended up with two bags of groceries in addition to the food.

I have been eating here for probably close to 10 years now and I have never been disappointed. If I’m feeling down or indecisive or just plain hungry, a spicy gyro and fries from here fixes everything. The market is nice, Dats isn’t bad, but the gyros and fries are the star of the show.

Great stop for gyros, it’s in the same location as Dats Cajun food. You order up front and then find a place to sit and they’ll bring it out when ready. Ask for te spicy option is great if you want your gyro to have some zing!

I ordered beef/lamb gyro. The meat was chewy and inedible. The pita tasted stale. Customer service was good and cute atmosphere but I had a bad feeling when my gyro was ready 60 seconds after ordering. Definitely not prepared fresh.

The restaurant was kept really clean and they had disposable paper menus to give each customer. They were really quick with our food (about 5-10 minutes) and it came out really fresh and hot. I’ve been craving a gyro for a while and it did not disappoint! Even their regular size filled me plenty for lunch, and the meal was only like $8. Quite the bang for your buck lunch.
