Excellent example of a historic restaurant. The food was fantastic, especially anything with biscuits. The service is a little different. It took me a while to realize I was supposed to go get my own coffee. Nothing wrong with that but I didn’t know. There’s just a few things to get used to, then you can enjoy a great breakfast!

So good omg, prices are great, my boyfriend and i split the summer ave sampler, a side of the hashbrown triangles and a side order of pancakes and we couldnt finish it all. It was about $35 so a great deal. Everything was cooked perfectly too. The biscuits & grits were really good!

Not my vibe at all, the food was bland and kept under warmers. I wasn’t a fan of the atmosphere, it was noisy, but not diner noisy like I would expect at like a Waffle House. There was loud banging coming from what I’m assuming it was some equipment in the back, and it was over powering throughout the whole restaurant. My food was cold when I got it, and was not very good to me. I would suggest this place to someone that is looking for an affordable meal that gets the job done, but if you’re looking for a good breakfast that brings character, this may not be the place for you.

This is supposed to be their country fried chicken breakfast special. All it is is a chicken biscuit patty! It’s barely bigger than the biscuit and they forgot the gravy n grits on multiple of our orders. We also did not get any utensils or condiments

My daughter and I had breakfast here, and it was delicious! The food tasted just like a wonderful home cooked meal. I absolutely loved their pancakes, eggs, and sausage; everything tasted fresh and not unhealthy at all. My only wish is that we could have a seat and have our orders taken at the table. Instead, you go in, place your order, grab a number, and then take a seat. Overall, it was a great dining experience!

Really not sure how this place has so many good reviews. We came by last weekend for the first (and last) time. We came due to the many recommendations from Facebook.
I’m convinced that the folks recommending this place, have no taste buds, at all.
The country fried steak was burnt, eggs overcooked, cinnamon roll was super dry and overly sweet, biscuit was dry and stale, gravy looks like wet cement and tasted like burnt flour, the “fried potatoes” are just a chopped up deep fried hashbrown patty. Other than the overly sweet cinnamon roll and burnt flour gravy, nothing had any kind of flavor.
Save your money and your taste buds!!!

Really great biscuits. Gravy is good but not my favorite. Classic breakfast was great. Great prices. Great service and a wonderful staff works there.

This was an ok breakfast spot. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. The facility was pretty aged and worn. I was really disappointed with the biscuits they were good but not anything special and I was really hoping for an excellent biscuit. The eggs were cooked to perfection and really good. All the meats we had were also really good. The gravy wasn’t as good as I was expecting either. I would eat here again just not with as high expectations as before.

Mind blowing!! This place is an incredible diamond in the rough. Real homemade breakfast like your grandmother made years ago. Incredible food and amazing people as well. It has a down home feel even though it’s in the middle of the city.
I had the cheese omelette with biscuits. Gravy and grits come with every plate which includes biscuits. You will thank me later.

It was a good but don’t see the hype haha. Maybe I didn’t the right things. But your average breakfast spot. You walk in order your food they give you a number and you sit down or eat in. Nothing special nothing fancy. I do like that concept. It’s very fast and good comes out hot. Everybody is nice. They actually remade my food because it was a miscommunication and that was really nice of them. I would visit again because food is reasonably priced.
