Nice staff. Atmosphere is nice (a bit colder than my liking). I think it is a decent place to gather as friends or family. Not too crowded either.
Food— I can see that they were trying to be innovative, but they are not quite there yet in my opinion. Orange feels a bit strange with risotto and faro.; cilantro is overpowering on a flatbread (would prefer if they chop it more finely).

Came with a large group for a birthday dinner. Service was great, friendly. Food came out on time, and was delicious. Had oysters on the 1/2 shell, highly recommend! Lemon vinaigrette for the salads and the short rib cottage pie special were also a crowd favorite. Great neighborhood spot for weathering the ice!!

My family and I truly enjoy the Tavern. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal together. The raw bar is my favorite part it’s always fresh and thoughtfully prepared. As a vegan/ pescatarian family, we really appreciate that the menu includes several options, which makes dining here easy and enjoyable for us. We also love the brunch menu, especially the French toast, which is absolutely delicious. Another big plus is how kid-friendly the restaurant is, with options that even my picky eaters are happy to eat. Overall, it’s a place we keep coming back to and highly recommend.

We absolutely loved the New England feel of this place. It’s cozy, inviting, and manages to be both upscale and relaxed.
The menu was a true highlight, especially the offerings from the seasonal menu. It’s clear the chef is passionate about using fresh, current ingredients. The French Dip Burger and the Cider Margarita. Delicious!
Finally, we have to talk about our server, Tim. Tim, you are a gem! He was attentive, highly knowledgeable about the menu (including great recommendations from the seasonal offerings), and truly made us feel welcomed. He checked in at all the right times and had a genuinely sunny demeanor.
We already can’t wait to come back and see what delicious items appear on the menu next season. Highly, highly recommend!

We loved it here! We ordered two rounds of drinks and about 6 food items and every single thing was great. We eat out often and really appreciate great food. This is now on our regular list. It’s hard to find a place that can cook a swordfish steak properly and with great flavor. Service was so so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.

Amazing seafood selection! The swordfish was cooked perfectly, and the pan seared scallops were incredible (the sauce on the scallops is top notch). The service was also exceptionally great; the bartenders Steven and Timmy made us feel very welcome, and made some of the best dirty gin martinis in Pittsburgh.

Sunday brunch at the Bryant Street Tavern is amazing! Steven offered great advice and service! The butternut squash gratin was delightfully amazing as were the hand made tator tots! We three had the French toast with cream cheese raspberry filling, the chicken sandwich with candied bacon and fries and the BLT salad were delicious! Of course, desserts were chosen and included lemon crème brûlée, brown sugar brownie and key lime cheesecake finished off this amazing Sunday lunch adventure at Highland Park, PA!

New restaurant that took over the previous Park Brugge Restaurant last February 2025. I live in the neighborhood and have gone there frequently. Like any new place it can take a while to get it’s footing and groove. Clicked on “most recent” in Google Reviews. Most recent 10 reviews have been 9 five star and 1 three star review. Averages out to 4.8. One very “recent” low review starts out saying “ate here when it first opened” so that’s 9 months ago. Noticed a change in the place a few months ago with an expanded menu and a new chef. Since then the positive reviews have increased noticeably.
Very friendly place. Expanded daily special menu doubles previous entree offerings. There are usually 5 or more specials that are on the online site as “Dinner Specials”. So check out both the “Dinner Menu” and the “Dinner Specials” to see the full menu online. Often the “Dinner Specials” adds beef specials and other meat specials for people who aren’t big seafood fans.
There are TVs but the sound is off so non intrusive. Slightly more casual atmosphere than Park Brugge and with more less expensive offerings plus the more expensive offerings which combined makes it more affordable to a wider range of people. As a neighborhood restaurant in a neighborhood of mixed incomes that’s a real plus.
TIp: The windows have a dark tint and if you are driving by it can look like it is closed when it is really open. Also there is sometimes a big padlock hanging in the middle of the front door when the door and the restaurant are actually open. So take a closer look before you decide it is closed when it’s really open. They have now put a small neon “Open” sign in the upper right hand corner of the front window to make it obvious that it’s open.
It’s hit it’s stride so if you tried it months ago and didn’t like it, it’s now worth another look. Now with the improvements, once new customers try the place they tend to come back for repeat visits.

I love Bryant St Tavern! I was excited to see what they did with the place. It has a warm, cozy, comfortable vibe. Food is chef’s kiss. They have a tofu scramble for brunch and a tofu sandwich with delicious fries. Bar has a chill vibe. Great neighborhood place. TVs for watching your favorite Pittsburgh sports. Highly recommend checking them out!
