This evening I stopped by Bruster’s Monroe to pick up my usual order. Typically I come and the owner (who is always very hospitable) takes my order with no issues. Unfortunately, this time when asking for my extra toppings as a side, I was met with the rudest interaction I’ve ever had with an employee ANYWHERE. She told me they don’t give out that particular topping even after I expressed that the manager sells this to me all the time. I was disheartened to find that customer service at this location has significantly declined and I will be doing my best to avoid this location in the future.

Ice cream is amazing. One complaint they never give you napkins. After paying them premium money and giving them a good tip they still can’t give you a napkin to wipe your hands off and they don’t have the water hooked up outside to wash your hands. I don’t understand. lol damnit

Owner: Either stop telling your employees to ask for tips at the window – or if you are not training them to do this (though I’m sure you are), advise them to stop. It’s tacky and off-putting. My wife and I stopped going to Bruster’s Monroe because of this.
The last time I was there, I was boldly asked “Would you like to leave a tip on your credit card?”
I am not going to tip an employee or anyone for handing me an ice cream cone at the window. Perhaps pay your employees 1 dollar more per hour and advise them to stop asking for tips.

Bruster’s in Monroe is an absolute gem! The staff here is friendly, respectful, and always make the experience enjoyable. Unlike the rude service I experienced at the Athens location, the Monroe team actually knows how to treat customers with kindness and professionalism. They greet you with a smile, are happy to answer questions, and never make you feel like a bother. The ice cream is delicious (as always), but it’s the customer service that really sets this location apart. I’ll gladly drive the extra miles just to be served by people who actually care. Five stars to the Monroe crew — keep it up!

The service could be better. And the ice cream is not always good. Hit or miss depending on which flavor you choose.. Ask to taste it first before you choose. The cherries are sour and spoiled alot of the time.. in the ice cream and the ones they put on top…. I dont go to this location anymore. Brusters cost too much to MAYBE enjoy it each time.

UPDATE: I moved Bruster’s monroe from 1 to 2 stars. Today we went back to complain and get our $$ back. Guess who was there looking just as confused today as he did last night? You guessed it-Ronnie. He called his supervisor and informed us they couldn’t refund the $$ but ended up making new items. At least that’s something. Here’s hoping Ronnie and his boss will start making orders according to the Bruster’s level of quality we all love and appreciate.

I love Bruster’s especially the one near my home in Monroe GA. Imagine my shock and amazement when tonight I ordered a waffle turtle sundae and a waffle banana split and they looked like this! There were so many missing parts it was ridiculous!! We’ve had these same items before and they were incredible. As soon as I drive thru and ordered I could tell something had drastically changed at the store since the last time I was there. At the window ronnie started describing to me what I ordered and didn’t get it right. I corrected him. He took my payment and still got it wrong. The banana split was missing the strawberries fudge and the cherry on top. I think they put something other than vanilla ice cream in my order. I’m extremely disappointed with Bruster’s Monroe. I understand they’re under new management. It shows.
