I’ve been waiting to try this place out. It does not disappoint!
Let me mention this first off. There is no indoor seating here. You order at one window and pick up at another. There are some very nice tables outside, some with large umbrellas.
There are a LOT of flavors on the menu, along with some specialty items and a fascinating variety of edible and disposable containers. We were there realtively early in the day. While there was understandably only one server on duty and they were probably busier than anticipated for shortly after lunch on a weekday, we were able to place our order quickly and received our ice cream very shortly afterward.
The ice cream is premium in price but very rich and creamy. We shared a cup of Key Lime Pie which I found to be amazingly delicious. The cup had two very generous scoops for about $6 and it was plenty to satisfy as an after-lunch treat for both of us.
The service was great, parking very easy, and the ice cream over-the-top tasty. We’ll be back.

Went on a Saturday during the day, and it was not busy. Ordered a turtle Sunday, and my wife got hot fudge brownie delight, and my daughter got a cone. It was relatively quick that the service was good and friendly. The portions size are ok. It was not too expensive .

Visited on their grand opening day, so they’re still working out some service kinks but overall a great experience. They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors as well as sorbets, Italian ice and oat milk based vegan ice cream, all made fresh daily. Tried a hot fudge brownie made with the vegan cookies & cream ice cream and was pleasantly surprised by the large chunks of real Oreo in the ice cream which had a good flavor overall. The hot fudge sauce was rich and delicious and the brownie is thick and fudgy. Also sampled their salted caramel toffee crunch ice cream which was likewise delicious and studded with bits of toffee. Window service and outdoor tables only at this location. The wait was around 5 minutes from placing order to receiving both items. There is a reasonable amount of on-site parking in the plaza.

Just had the most amazing ice cream of my life! During my quick trip to VA, my cousin insisted I try this spot before heading back home. I’m so glad I listened because oh my goodness, the coconut pineapple flavor was out of this world! Trust me, you’ve got to try it. And the mixed berries cheesecake was a close second. Absolutely perfect for the summer. Huge shoutout to Bruster’s Real Ice Cream for making my trip so sweet! ❤️

Love their ice cream! It’s very creamy and delicious. Cherry vanilla is my go to flavor. Large cherries in every bite. It’s a bit expensive but I feel like I’m paying for a quality product that is made daily on site. No inside seating but a couple outdoor tables with umbrellas to sit and enjoy a summer (or all year around) treat.

I’m a high-maintenance chocolate milkshake guy—vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and super thick! That’s exactly what I ordered, and finding a good one is rare. But this Bruster’s in Haymarket absolutely nailed it! It was hands down the best chocolate milkshake I’ve ever had. Huge thanks to Bruster’s Haymarket! Crystal, the head manager (I think that’s her name), is amazing. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve had a negative experience at this location. I accidentally ordered pickup instead of delivery twice — the first time they refunded me immediately, but the second time was much more difficult. Recently, I called on a holiday just to check their hours, and the same staff member who gave me a hard time before pretended she couldn’t hear me. I tried calling three times, and she hung up on me each time.
I ended up calling the Bruster’s in Manassas instead, and they were helpful, told me their hours, and even had the birthday cake flavor available (which the Haymarket location often runs out of).
It’s disappointing, because I really enjoy Bruster’s, but this location hasn’t been welcoming or professional in my experiences.
