Bruster’s has a fun vibe with a friendly young staff and a nice variety of flavors. We tried the Almond Chocolate Coconut, Mango Sorbet with Chili Lime, and a classic Vanilla scoop — all were decent and hit the spot.
However, we were pretty disappointed that they don’t offer samples, especially when trying some of the more unique flavors. That definitely took away from the experience a bit.
Still, worth a visit for a quick treat on a warm day!

This is a solid ice cream place to solve your sweet tooth problems.

The flavors are plentiful and they taste great. They have a lot of seating outside, actually, it’s a great patio. I do wish they had some seating inside.

I did try the Kickin’ Mango and it was absolutely fantastic!

I usually love Brewster’s Ice Cream, but my experience two days ago was terrible. I went in to report an issue with my order, and the two staff members who listened to me were incredibly defensive. They started arguing with me, questioning my loyalty as a customer, even asking for a receipt and saying, ‘I’ve never seen you here before.’ I was stunned—I wasn’t asking for a free item; I just wanted them to correct a mistake. Sadly, even the ice cream quality was off that day. I hope they work on their customer service, because I really do like their treats. What an absolutely horrible experience. Please train your staff to deal with customers properly because customers are everything. Clearly the two guys didn’t care.

I came in on Friday, February 13 for the first time and I had such amazing service, especially from the young man on register. He offered me a variety of samples and even offered a sample on a piece of a waffle cone! The speed and service made my night and I will definitely be coming back soon!

Contrary to the appearance, when we went inside, there were no tables and no customers, so we were a little disappointed, but after a while, customers kept coming and we were surprised the moment we ate the ice cream we ordered. The chewy and rich flavor of the ice cream captured my appetite, and I was eating ice cream filled to the brim with the waffle cone. My mouth was very happy for a while.

We usually love going to Bruster’s for ice cream—it’s just 5 minutes from our house, and my family has always had great experiences there until yesterday. On Labor Day evening, my 9-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son were so excited for a treat. We ordered two banana splits and also asked for the free cone for my little one.

Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. When the staff handed me the free cone, the scoop was so tiny it was barely visible inside the cone. My son, who was thrilled just moments before, refused to even touch it. I asked the staff about it, and the reply was, “That’s what we give.” Since it was free, I didn’t argue, but it left me feeling upset—especially because in the past, my son and his friends always enjoyed the free kid’s cone at Bruster’s.

I truly appreciate Bruster’s generosity in offering the free cones, but if this is how they’re going to be served, it may be better not to advertise them at all. I hope this was just an off day and not the new standard, because until now, we have loved coming here as a family.

Newly opened place close to Harris teeter. The packaging is awesome and the ice cream tastes great. There can be a long line (5 minutes) due to kids and adults wanting to have the first bites of the newly opened location. Worth it.

Consistently inconsistent. You ordered a waffle cone with two scoops? That’s nice, maybe you’ll get two scoops, or maybe a scoop with a little more smeared on top. You’ll surely be charged for what you ordered but you won’t get it, and if you inquire you’ll be ignored. Perhaps you’re served the wrong ice cream because it doesn’t taste right. Don’t worry the person “in charge” will tell you how you’re wrong and probably are just confused about what flavor you actually ordered. Want it fixed? Sorry, they’re just there to hang out in the back and tell you how confused and wrong you are.
The ice cream is pretty good overall but definitely don’t expect to get the amount you want or actually what you ordered. You, customer person, are just wrong. Next!

Is this yet another highly acclaimed all-american ice cream chain set to lead the retail ice cream consumer sector? Time will tell.

The standout feature Bruster’s seems to bring are new and interesting ice cream flavors like Kaju Draksh and Horchata …. utterly fantastic. New flavors seem to be different depending on the location and a whole heck more interesting than the typical fusion of diabetes-inducing suger-on-sweet hodge-podge of flavors like chocolate+cookie, peanut butter+butterflinger, and cotton candy explosion(!?!). The typical menu fair features cones, cup, shakes or sundaes as the usual vehicles for delivery from seller to your mouth.

Both Kaju Draksh and Horchata tasted new and fresh …. but also cloyingly sweet after licking down half a scoop. Let’s not kid ourselves, ice cream in America can be less sweet to allow actual flavors to shine. I hope Bruster’s brings more interesting flavors to the menu in the future to keep things fresh — and flavors with less deliberately added sugars. Feels like Bruster’s is bringing the Americana home-town flavors to you, which is great. And if Bruster’s wants to see me visit these home town flavors as a repeat customer, I hope the number of new, fresh, and interesting flavors (like lychee, logan, sweet cream, durian, mangosteen, red bean, purple potatoe, hōjicha) will grace Bruster’s menu one day.

I was initially hesitant to try this place due to the mixed reviews. However, after noticing the crowd outside a few times, we finally decided to give it a shot. We ordered their seasonal ones – campfire s’mores and blueberry cobbler, and both were excellent. The campfire s’mores was a delightful blend of rich flavours. I’m definitely tempted to return and explore more of their flavors.
