Culture is a term that categorizes mankind, having the power to both bring us together, while also celebrating our unique stories. As one of the first to bring Edomae omakase to Atlanta in 2015–Brush was founded on just that, the desire to share a piece of our story with the heart of Atlanta. Whether it be brushing each piece of nigiri with nikiri shoyu, Edomae style omakase, binchotan kissed ingredients, or the aesthetics of kumiko wood–It’s all an extension of who we are. Our goal is to lead, elevate, push the limits, and offer a version of Japanese cuisine that’s evolving, yet relatable. Allow us to humbly invite you to experience a piece of our home; welcome to Brush Sushi.

Menu looks fabulous! Nothing extra , very minimalistic and straight to the point- lived that.
Design of the interior is great! Clean, sharp, spacious!
Food that where I’m struggling. I eat sushi since 1996-97 . Some of pepper having even been born lol , I old )) . Any way, bluefin tuna role had “aged” notes to it, I double checked and was assured- it is fresh! Toro, fatty tuna was very flat … I don’t know why, but I didn’t had that awe malty taste to it at all. Very thing and more watery than fatty. Presentation also leaves some room for improvement (See pic) Salmon Caviar on other hand was 10/10!
Service was good – Fast ( I was only one there)) ) nice and polite. Thank you
Any way , my only one dinner in Atlanta was not memorable at all.
As for the food – I was unimpressed. The menu seemed to be too repetitive and lacked creativity. For a place that specializes in sushi, I typically look for either pristine freshness/quality of seafood or creativity. I find that this place lacked both. The fish was fresh, but their competition has fresher. The setups were good, but not memorable. The menu seems extensive but a lot of the rolls are recycled from one configuration to the next.
To give credit where it’s due, the duck was absolutely incredible! The presentation, the sides, the flavor, the smokiness – it was the best duck I’ve had in the city. It was the saving grace of the evening and the sole reason I will not hesitate to return and will recommend this place to others.
The dessert portions were very generous. However, they sounded more exciting on paper, which was a disappointment. Our favorite one ended up being the seasonal roll cake.
Overall, I would still recommend checking it out for the duck dish alone. I promise it will be worth the trip! But maybe lower your expectations on the sushi, or skip it altogether.
The hand rolls on the happy hour menu are amazing—fresh, flavorful, and addictive. The cocktails are super unique, with lots of oolong and fruit infusions—perfect if you like something creative and refreshing.
The nigiri and o’toro service was fire, and even the steak impressed. To top it off, dessert was phenomenal. Honestly, everything from start to finish was spot on. The service was outstanding—Dylan took such great care of us and really made the experience memorable.
Such a great Japanese restaurant—I loved it so much and can’t wait to come back.
This is a unique sushi place with a blend of modern luxury and cozy feel. We tried their signature tasting menu. Every dish was on point; beautiful and well balanced with rich flavors. Lastly, the service was friendly and attentive without hovering.
After the experience, my wife and I were telling each other how this place deserves a Michelin star, and then the very next day we found out that O by Brush (their omakase version) actually got one 🙂
Such a well deserved award we thought.
What truly made the night stand out was the service, especially Tiffany at the bar. She was attentive, friendly, and made fantastic food recommendations. You can tell she genuinely cares about guests having a great time — she elevated the whole experience.
For drinks, welcome drink was amazing lovely. Crafted cocktail was bit strong and too flavourful to me. Not balanced. I also ordered sake flights, which was the best choice. Portion of sake was not much, nor
little. Server explained/recommended each sake and told us which sake would go well for each dish. We told them we’re celebrating PHD defense, and they put small congrats graduate decor for our dessert. Gift after the course was also quite impressive – a sweet treat and teabag. We had to wait about 20 minutes because other people came late, but I was not angry as the chef/server explained and apologized enough.
Overall satisfied. Definitely will come again to try 25 course.
