The place unfortunately did not fully meet expectations. I ordered a toasted garlic bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. While the bagel had a promising chew, the bitterness of the garlic marred the experience. Also, it was missing tomato and onion. The macaroni salad was mediocre and the sliced pickles were too sour. The bagel sandwich and a bottle of filtered milk totaled $18, which seemed incredibly pricey for what we were getting. The breakfast burrito initially looked good but the wrapper fell apart too quickly and the overall combination of meats inside tasted too weird with the seasoning. We wanted to like this place but the food missed the mark.

Hes at the former crazy bagels east brunswick next to the bakery and not only are the bagels delicious as they should be he made me breakfast this morning and as usual perfect. He seems the only person I know that listens when someone wants fried soft eggs Thumanns ham sliced thin with cheese on a buttered bagel absolutely delicious. If anyone loves good old fashioned bagels similar to Highway 17 Bagels in Brooklyn, NYC give the new CRAZY BAGEL in East Brunswick NJ a try, they still have body and you can’t squash them like a hamburger roll.
The owners of Crazy Bagel are very nice and friendly, we got to the store shortly after closing hours, the door was open just a crack, they were sitting at a table talking. I said are you closed, they said yes.
I said oh, too bad we just wanted to try out your bagels. We have been searching for good Brooklyn Bagels here in Middlesex County for a few years.
They invited us to come in, we had a wonderful chat, bought the last bagels they had, plus lox cream cheese (big chunks of lox) and vegetable cream cheese with fresh chunks of tasty peppers ️.
BTW their plan is to expand their menu and hours.

I grabbed a surprise bag from Too Good to Go, and when I picked it up, it came straight from the counter stock. They let me choose between 7 bagels or 4 bagels with a cream cheese. I went with the second option. The cream cheese is absolutely amazing, and the bagels are super soft. highly recommend!

Took 10 minutes to get 4 bagels (nothing on them) and a side of cream cheese, while no one was on line in front of me. When I got home I realized they gave me the wrong bagels. At least the bagels were good. But guys, service is 50% of the experience. You gotta work on your customer service and giving the right food to people.
