The food was delicious and distinctive — apple slices in a toasted turkey sandwich was a delightful surprise! I do wish that there could be some more healthy offerings (similar to what is available at “Cake” in Germantown). The ambiance is a little bit dank and run down, especially in the surprisingly chilly main dining area (needs brighter light, plants, and upbeat background music). The holiday garlands were nice, though. The servers were pleasant and didn’t seem at all unhappy to be there. There an appealing family vibe. This place is a good choice for eaves dropping on neighboring conversations, so don’t have any top-secret planning sessions here, LOL! Overall, I enjoy coming here, yet I always feel that it could be so much more. I don’t think the management recognizes and nurtures the enormous potential of this place. It feels like it is on autopilot. They lack Bohemian charm and customer engagement — they need a little something that makes people actively PLAN to come back instead of saying dully, “As long as I’m here, I guess I’ll go to Bruno’s because other places are too far away.” They literally have no competition here, and they should take advantage of it by filling the seats with all those health-conscious people walking in nearby Wissahicken park. When business is slow, they should have a staff member down there handing out coupons at the park’s entrance or putting coupons on the windshields — ANYTHING to connect with park goers.

Food was good after hiking the Wissahickon Trail. My breakfast sammy was tasty on an everything bagel. Husband liked his cheesesteak and he is a particular eater.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and while it’s had its ups and downs it never fails to bring me joy. They’re currently on an upswing and semi-recently redecorated the porch and got new umbrellas for the outdoor seating.
Food is great and the vibes are on point. Milkshake and chicken cheesesteak combo always hits.

Bruno’s is a good spot for you to stop on a day of hiking. It’s only a few minute walk off the trail near the horse stable.
At Brunos there are 3 distinct seating areas; outside, outside porch covered, and inside.
Outside dogs will be welcome.
Inside your kids might love checking out the working jukebox!

I had to wait a long time for curry wurst that was nothing like I’m used to from Germany it was a polish hard as a rock overcooked 4 different parties that came after me received their food before me! I have been sick all day with severe diarrhea! Had only 1 bite with some sauce that was nothing like curry ! Couldn’t eat with my dentures ! I’m from Berlin-Germany 26 years had to run to bathroom today 8 times ! Didn’t eat anything else through $16.- away on my fixed income ! Atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired! Should see “The Rhinelander” in Portland or “Gustavs” in Clackamas learn some lessons

This is a great little spot for breakfast and lunch when you’re visiting Morris arboretum or the Wissahickon. Food is great, especially the breakfast potatoes. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is wonderful.

If you’re wondering whether this restaurant has improved since it was featured on Gordon Ramsey’s Secret Service, unfortunately I can’t say it has from my view. I looked at the grill and it was just as dirty as in the show. The spoon in the coffee I was served had what looked like dried tomato sauce on it. I ordered the waffle, it had black bits throughout it that seemed to be the charred crumbs of previously made waffles, which indicates to me that they didn’t wash the waffle iron. The waffle was also bland tasting. In addition to all of this, the place smelled intensely of grease. It needs better ventilation, they need to be closed more time out of the week to clean, and they need to clean their equipment between uses, as Gordon Ramsey told them to. I wanted to like this place, but I’m extra disappointed because they had a second chance to become something great and refused to take it.

The pancakes were sloppy (different sizes and hard to cut as a stack) and French toast was under cooked (one side looked like it hadn’t touched the heat at all). Maybe if they use a large cooktop there’s a cold spot they don’t know about?
The service was great, though, and we still had a pleasant time sitting on the terrace.

I was told these are the best milkshakes in town so I decided to try and they weren’t wrong !!! The milkshake and the fries were so good !!!! The service was great as well ! It’s so cute inside I will definitely be back !
