Outstanding meal! We LOVED the new “Dinner for Two” which was huge portions! There was manicotti, 2 meat raviolis, lasagna, angel hair pasta & meatballs. ALL were delicious! We have always loved the manicotti & their sauce. I never had the lasagne and I loved how there were herbs in the meat & it was slightly spicy. It was OUTSTANDING. The bread is always the best as well. I was very pleased how well everything tasted. For now on, we will always order the same thing. It is the right combination & huge portions – enough for left overs the next day.

Went on recommendations-Not impressed! Wished we hadnt but had anniversary dinner here. at 445pm -not real busy. 4 tables upstairs but wait staff overwhelmed, drop off things and disappear. We ordered calamari appetizer. 10 quarter sized rings came only warm but overcooked-coco brown and hard crunchy, no flavor but burnt breading . Gave benefit of the doubt, Ordered tour of Italy for 2. Ordered extra side dressing for salad…extra dressing forgotten til entee came. Waitress said “oh i forgot your extra dressing. well, it’s better this way, you know they charge you extra 75cent for it”. Both entrees came only lukewarm at best: Large plate with lasagna, spaghetti, ravioli, large stuffed pasta, and meatball. The whole plate had two colors & flavors notes; doused in one sweet tomato sauce and the same one flavor cheese in and melted on everything. Pasta, the meat in lasagna, the meatball nor the ravioli had any flavor. No garlic, herb, salt, bkack or red pepper, nothing. My daughter made better tomato sauce when she was 8yo. Good points: Tiramisu was good: flavor good & good proportion for price. House Moscato wine was good. House bread was good and warm. Overall, the appetizer and meal was complete waste of money. Others think it’s great but I cannot recommend this place.

Food was delicious, we had a party of 18 in the cellar. It felt private and was very relaxing. I tried stuff pepper and Veal parm. Both were amazing. I think everyone was impressed. Ill definitely go back.

My spaghetti was floating in water. Quite disappointing. It was during the Italian Festival so maybe they were overwhelmed, but the waitress took offense as if she cooked the spaghetti herself. Ultimately it was removed from the bill to give a fair review!

burnt our Stromboli and said they needed to make another. No problem. Things happen in the kitchen. When we were sitting there almost 30 minutes waiting on another one- asked the waitress politely if it was on its way out- she says “Oh probably not.” And walked away. So rude. like the food / but not enough to deal with a snarky attitude. appreciate that they took half off the Stromboli on the bill, But she got zero tip. don’t believe in rewarding rude behavior. Servers can make or break the success of your establishment. Hope she doesn’t talk to all the customers like that.

We went to HR Steinhouse–right next door–another part of the restaurant to see our son’s band Herbivore play. We did not know exactly what to expect but it was not only a fantastic atmosphere but had delicious food too! Our waitress was amazing and also a saint to put up with all of us! Thank you!

They’re spaghetti and sauce is amazing. My favorite item from the menu is the manicotti it’s delicious. Personally prefer Bruno’s over Donatello’s which is the other Italian restaurant on Philly St. Bruno’s is also family owned which is nice. Definitely recommend going here if you like Italian food

Forgot to post this: last spring I went here with family after my graduation ceremony (only place with with less than an hour wait). Mom had bought me a bouquet but left it under the table. I called and asked if they’d found it, expecting it to already be in the trash. They’d put them in water and stored them in the fridge (mother was thrilled). It was a few days before I made it back to town; the flowers were still in beautiful condition. Just thought that was above and beyond.
