I recently visited Brundavan and had a mixed experience. The ambience is absolutely beautiful — that was honestly the highlight for me. The place has a lovely setup and a welcoming vibe. As soon as we entered, I couldnt see anyone on desk. Instead they were on chairs with scrolling phone. Not at all welcoming. They just had some fake smile felt like we came on wrong time.

We immediately placed our order for paneer fried rice, chikko shake, Mysore bonda, mirapakay bajji, and onion uthapam. However, things became disappointing afterward. The service was very slow. We kept trying to modify or add to our order, but for almost every item, we were told the chef was not available. Because of this, we had to cancel many items. Even when we wanted to ask for water, staff would disappear for long periods.

Eventually, we were served only paneer fried rice and onion uthapam after nearly an hour of waiting. The paneer fried rice tasted good, but the quantity was very less. The uthapam was not cooked properly, which was disappointing after such a long wait. That chikko shake is all watery and tasted bad!! Sorry but its too bad I just left it on table without completing.

It felt frustrating that for every small item, the chef needed to be available, yet the restaurant was open and taking orders. It would be better to adjust timings or open only when the kitchen is fully ready, so customers don’t have to wait unnecessarily.

Overall, while I truly loved the ambience, the service experience needs significant improvement. Good food and great decor can only shine when service matches the standard.

Very clean, modern pure vegetarian cafe. It’s very well maintained and nice there. Food is fresh and served hot! Service is very very good. Absolutely loved Gobi Manchurian, I will go back for this

The flavors are a bit bland and definitely can be made better. Kobbari karam thatte idli was disappointing. Thatte (plate idli) should be fluffy and bouncy. The meals were good .

Filter coffee was excellent

This place has very nice calm vibe.
Food is authentic South Indian.

We got Benne dosa, South Indian thali and veg utappam. I would recommend Rava Kesari and Uttapam. Will definitely back to try more.

Rava onion was ok. The onion was added later on and not part of batter itself. But taste is good

You know a place is special when you walk in at 8:45 PM on a Sunday and still receive a five-star welcome. Kevin (Vineet) was a total pro—smiling, helpful, and quick to get us settled. The kitchen didn’t miss a beat either; our meal was hot, fresh, and delicious. If you go, make sure to order the Thatte idli! It’s easily some of the best South Indian cuisine I’ve had in a long time

The food quality was really good, and the portions were quite decent. Everything was served hot, which I appreciated.
The only downsides were the chutneys—they were served in very small portions with tiny spoons, so we had to keep asking for more. Also, the sambar could have had a better, more authentic flavor. Overall, a good veg spot with room for improvement.

Went in the morning and had ghee pongal, brindavan benne dosa. Just out of the world. Chutneys were given on the side with sambas. My favorite was ginger chutney. Service was 10 star K.Vin – the service was so good that we had to add his name in our review. Morning filter coffee with Sanskrit chants- soundarya lahari- I definitely got up from the right side of bed today.

recently visited Brundhavan on Stelton Road in Piscataway and had a great experience overall. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe with friendly staff, making it a nice spot for a casual meal.
We ordered the paneer garlic fried rice, which was tasty with good flavor and plenty of paneer. The dry gobi Manchurian was a standout—crispy, spicy, and just like what you’d find at a street stall in India. The idly was soft, the dosa was crispy and well-made, and the vadai was perfectly crunchy. The bhelpuri was spot-on, with a nice mix of sweet, tangy, and crunchy flavors. Everything felt authentic, especially the Indo-Chinese dishes, which had that local Indian flair.
The only downside was the filter coffee—it was average and didn’t live up to the rest of the meal. Still, it didn’t ruin the experience. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the food is consistently good. I’ll definitely return to try more dishes. Highly recommend for anyone craving South Indian or Indo-Chinese food in Piscataway!
