Brunch’d is a terrific food cart. There’s nothing typical or ordinary about them—the food they serve always has its own unique twist. This isn’t the work of a short-order cook; I sense the heart of a visionary chef in his artistic offerings.

I ordered the Rise and Shiner, their take on a breakfast burrito. It’s made with fingerling potatoes, eggs, cotija cheese, bell peppers, caramelized onion, pork, and whackamole sauce. All of that wrapped in a flour tortilla makes for a savory handheld breakfast. The flavor of the pork is more Cuban than Mexican and really makes a statement.

I don’t normally like potatoes in a burrito, but I ordered it without modifications to give it a fair shot. I ate one potato but abstained from the rest. The ingredients are excellent quality, though overall it needed more salt for my palate—a bit of green Tabasco did the trick.

Carts and trucks don’t usually have much seating, but Brunch’d has created a lovely area to sit near the truck, once again showing the creative spirit of this restaurateur.

The Rise and Shiner, though excellent, isn’t quite my style. That said, I’m very much looking forward to trying their Breakfast Sandwich, Southern Comfort (chicken and waffle), and Cuban Sandwich. -VanPort Insider

I have to admit, we were fairly disappointed with the food from Brunch’d. At first glance, this place has all the fixin’s for a good food truck. Cool ambiance, good reviews, exciting menu items, good food presentation, but unfortunately, the flavor just wasn’t there.

We tried two items, the Southern Comfort and the Rise and Shiner, and both just lacked flavor and seasonings.

The chicken in waffles: too much waffle, not enough syrup, and not enough chicken. The quality of the chicken was the only redeeming thing about this dish. Beyond that, the coleslaw lacked flavor, and the waffles were dry. Adding in a side of syrup for customer to drizzle over their own food would be worth while, or maybe even just some butter on the waffles.

The Rise and Shiner: almost completely void of flavor. Too little salt for starters, and just over all seasonings and flavor.

We did not finish either meal.

On the plus side, if your someone who is watching their salt in take, this is the place for you.

As an ending note, their automated tip screen had a lowest suggested tip of 15%, and a high end of 25%. Maybe im old fashioned, but what is the point of tipping when the food isn’t even brought to your table? Where’s the service beyond taking my order and and then passing it through the window to me?

I’m gonna be as fair as I can about this review because we got it to go and although we live five minutes away, I feel like I need to get it and eat it right there. We got the chicken and waffle and biscuits and gravy and the waffle fries with gravy. I’m not sure why you would ever put Soggy coleslaw on a waffle, but the Taste of the coleslaw wasn’t horrible. The waffle obviously was very mushy due to all the sauce and a hot piece of chicken on top and the coleslaw being on top. The chicken did not look at all like the pictures and wasn’t crispy at all. The sauce was phenomenal. We really enjoyed the bourbon maple sauce. I am a gravy connoisseur. I love to eat gravy, and I love to make all kinds of gravy. While the gravy had what I imagine is sausage, it may have been hamburger in it, it was extremely over salted. If they dialed down the salt, it would be pretty dang good! The waffle, fries and gravy were pretty good. None of the eggs looked good at all. You could tell it was cooked on a greasy grill, but honestly that didn’t really matter to us. I’m giving it a three stars out of five stars because of the coleslaw making the waffle mushy and also the saltines of the gravy. If you don’t mind in any of that, I’m sure it’s a great place to eat! Perhaps maybe put the coleslaw on the side or frankly, putting all of it on the side when you get it to go could help retain the integrity of the waffle.

We’re from New Orleans, so trust me when I say, we don’t play about good food! We ordered the It’s All Gravy, Baby and the Rise and Shiner Burrito, and lawd have mercy, it was absolutely . The biscuits were fluffy, the gravy was seasoned to perfection, and that burrito hit like a warm hug on a Sunday morning. The service was sweet, the vibes were cozy, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you’re anywhere near Battle Ground or Yacolt, this spot is a must. Brunch’d understood the assignment.

Brunch’d is an absolute gem. The quality feels more like a chef-driven kitchen than a quick bite spot. On top of that, the vibe is welcoming and the people behind it clearly care about what they do. Easily one of the best brunch spots around and 100% worth coming back for. Highly recommend!

So excited I got to try this place today and it didn’t disappoint! The food is as good as the pictures, which isn’t always the case with places! I got the tropical tea with chicken and waffles for $17 + tip. The chicken was moist and flavorful. All of the flavors were very complimentary and the tea was fabulous! The service was friendly and fast considering the long line when arriving in the 11am hour on a sunny Friday.

On another occasion, I simply wanted to fulfill a sandwich craving and am so glad I went with the Cubano. Wow! I will crave that sandwich. Did you know they make their own bread!? I bake bread and theirs was spectacular!

There’s about half a dozen food trucks in this food carts place as of June 2024 with approximately 15 spots available. Under the large covered tent area are 12 regular picnic size tables.

There’s quite a bit of free parking and they have port-a-potties as well as fun shopping nearby just off Main St.

Definitely go enjoy some tasty brunch items during the week as they are closed on the weekends (surprising)!

So happy to have some new breakfast options in town! I wish we got them Sundays instead of Mondays, but I’m happy they’re here!!

I’ve been twice; first round I got the Rise and Shiner and a Brunch’d Punch. The burrito was fantastic and filling! The punch wasn’t my favorite just a few juices mixed that tasted similar to fruit punch (which is the description of the drink, it’s just not for me).

My second run was perfect! I ordered through the Toast app, when I arrived they were just tying the Knot on the bag. We got the Southern Comfort, Drunken ‘Puddin’ Pop and the classic cinnamon rolls.

First off the Puddin’ Pop, just yes! It’s so good, super crunchy on the outside and delicious soft flavorful middle! A favorite for sure!

The Southern Comfort was unexpected, the slaw has a lot of flavor and not necessarily my favorite in this pairing. But the light crunch on the chicken and the spices, plus the sweet flavor of the bourbon syrup is so good! My waffle was a little extra soft, kind soggy..this could be from being trapped in the to-go box on the way home, but it would have been extra good if it were crispy to hold up the chicken with the slaw (although I’d probably go without the slaw next time).

Cinnamon roll update coming soon, but order early before they sell out quick! Their tart was sold out when I got there just after 8:00, and pie will be added to the list soon.

Poor quality food to include an over cooked egg-over easy, gravy lacking the sausage country gravy biscuits and gravy would normally come with- just a basic seasoned milk, fat and flour rue- and a huge order of overbseadoned waffle fries.

$15 with a tip.

Not good.

The Brunch’d Fries were absolutely phenomenal. You can tell the owners running this truck take pride in what they do. The waffle fries were the perfect amount of crispy. Onions and peppers were definitely fresh. Pulled pork was very tender and juicy. I got mine without tomatoes, but it does come with them if you like them. All of these wonderful ingredients were topped with cheese and Brunisher sauce. I wish they would bottle and sell the sauce. I’d definitely buy bottles of this sauce. It was extremely flavorful and delicious. Next time I’m definitely asking for extra sauce. Whether you’re in the Battleground area or not, this place is worth the drive.

I come, at least, once a week.

Came their second day of opening and they’ve been crushing it every time.

PROS:
-Literally everything
-Highly qualified chef, Jon
-Amazingly personable boss, Bella (hahaha)
-Homemade breads (and many options!)
-Expert plating: everything looks like it belongs on television
-Hot, fresh, delicious everything – literally eating my way around the menu and zero bad experiences
-Price is on-point for these handmade creations
-Clean utensil dispensing machine (no chance of anyone touching your utensil)
-THEIR BRANDING – they nailed it. The stickers on the boxes, the layout, everything.

NEUTRAL:
-Location
-Excited for them to grow into a building (if they so choose)
-Outdoor seating: it does have a fantastic tarp around, but would like to see walls eventually as it gets windy

CONS:
-Cinnamon rolls are only Monday and Friday and sell out too quickly no matter how many they make
-Literally, no suggestions to make this place better+

Bella and Jon, Jon and Bella – oof, you’ve created a gem here.

The insane attention to detail, the quality of the food, and the personalities behind it are everything needed for a successful food biz.

This cart will be around for a long time. Hands down my favorite breakfast in Vancouver, the top brunch place in Vancouver, and easily my favorite lunch place in Vancouver.

The Cuban is one of my favorites!

They have something I’ve never seen – chocolate cinnamon rolls (again, only Mon & Fri and they sell out quickly!)

The waffles are so good and cooked perfectly – I had the waffles as bread for a custom breakfast sandwich with ham, eggs, pepperjack cheese, and bussin sauce.

The Brunch’d Punch is purty good, too.
