The cabbage was very mushy. Extremely overcooked. The dressing was not good. The turkey ribs were good as well as the BBQ which I got the on side. I would not get those sides again. I couldn’t really enjoy the ribs bc the sides were horrible. Maybe caught them on a bad day.
Best to order pickup, not expect to eat in as the place is small. It’s cute, just small.

The lamb chops!! 10/10. I will say the service was good. If we had an issue, they were there so solve it. But the grits, no 0 taste. No taste of salt, pepper, or butter. I wish I had a chance to try the chicken or catfish but they were all out when I visited

In town on business, stopped by yesterday for lunch, Thursday 11-20-2025 had the Shrimp Pasta, stopped today Friday 11-21-2025 for lunch and had the Shrimp and Grits (No Bacon, No Chives, No Cheddar). Both dishes hands down, tasty, savory, can definitely make your feet dance, hum and wiggle in your seat with every bite.

All I can say is WOW! The catfish was the best I have had in years. Fried perfectly and just a real treat. The soul rice had green and red bell peppers, crumbled pork sausage and was seasoned well.
And can’t forget how good the biscuit was. Buttery crisp crust and light and fluffy on the inside. Perfect!
The ladies were super friendly and keep things moving.
Definitely will be back and will tell my friends!

Great service, food, and ambience! I visited this location on July 6 and I had a great experience. My friend and I tried the voodoo Cajun chicken pasta and the fried chicken with mac & cheese and baked beans. Literally everything tasted delicious. I would love to come back to try the chicken and waffles 🙂

Food was delicious, staff was very nice and professional, atmosphere was amazing, restaurant was clean and again our food was DELICIOUS!!! We got a lamb chop meal, a fried chicken meal, and BLT everything was delicious. Mac was cheesy greens cooked perfectly, soul rice was delicious, the chicken,lamb, and sandwich was AMAZING!! Got the privilege to meet Chef Liyah and she was so sweet, professional, and very kind. I’ve been to Brunch and Soul twice and I was highly satisfied both times. The food is amazing and it is reasonably priced. The service is quick and the cashier is always kind. I will continue to be a returning customer to support this excellent restaurant. My only suggestions are to expand the brunch menu for every day and expand the seating area for dine in customers.

Aint NO WAY this ladies food is this AMAZING. I got catfish w/ lemon pepper dipping sauce, fried potatoes, and rice. It was WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

We drove up from Lexington to see about this restaurant that’s been showing up in my Instagram and tiktok feed. Let me tell you, this place EXCEEDED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS. Let’s start with the service. They could not have been more hospitable. Very kind and helpful with menu suggestions. Now on to THE FOOD!!! These waffles will change your entire outlook on how a waffle should taste. Fluffy and full of flavor! They had like six different flavors available today and we tried the caramel. Some other offerings were cinnamon roll, birthday cake, cookies and cream, and strawberry. Their chicken wings were not little bitty cornish hen wings. These are full size grown up wings! So incredibly juicy inside and fried to perfection without a heavy batter. I could go on and on. The soul rice is not to be slept on. Try it all. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been wanting to visit Brunch and Soul for a while, but my schedule didn’t allow it. I was finally able to go yesterday. The environment is so clean and inviting. And without a doubt I must say the food was delicious!!! Which would explain why they had to close early due to selling out. That’s a good problem to have! Everyone was so hospitable. Even with food running out they handled it with such grace while being polite and accommodating. That will get my business and recommendations every time! I will suggest if you ever go by and they are closed, please don’t count them out, they are worth it so come back and try again. I will most definitely be going back!
