Stopped in for a quick bite before visiting Yale with my son who just loves bagels. There was a fresh batch of bagel coming out of the pizza oven and WOW what an aroma! It was the closest thing to heaven. My son had a bacon egg on bagel and I had to sample the everything with cream cheese and chives with fresh coffee. Yum! That’s it! The staff was warm and friendly. Looks like they do advance ordering and have a dedicated pickup area. Street parking is metered.

They’re always quick and help me when I can’t see the menu because of weak glasses or contacts. I also enjoy when one l worker wears silly holiday headbands They are nice there. Not within my price range. But awesome Salmon bagels. That’s all I go for for breakfast because I don’t like the American conventional breakfast.

Wait 35 minutes for 2 bagels which I ordered ahead of time before my arrival. Got there at the eta for pick up then waited 20 minutes after my initial time it was supposed to be ready. then, when my order was up, the woman at the counter gave in them to the wrong person. She started to walk out the door with my order and realized it was not his so he returned them to the counter so then she yelled my name, and when I got up to claim them, she rudely walked over, threw them into my hands and said grab your bagels. And then walked away. Just completely rude. First time coming here will never go back. Not sure if it was just the people working there this day or if that’s how this place is. I never once gave them a problem either, never even asked for my order before it was ready. I understood that they were probably busy and I just waited for them to call my order.

I just fell in love with this place the moment I walked in. Yesterday was my very first experience of this place and there’s definitely going to be a return visit. My friend actually took me here for coffee; this is indubitably one of the best coffee I’ve tasted in New Haven. The place very clean and the workers are super nice. There’s also wheelchair accessible entrance for the differently able.

Best bagels around! I am adding to my post. I cannot say enough about this Brueggers! Today it was Brueggers Birthday and it was a huge celebration! Plus, three free bagels for all too! The staff is always very welcoming when you walk in and they remember everyone’s name! It is nice to see that there is still true customer service in this world!

Delicious bagels made right there with a variety of toppings/sandwich choices. Got two breakfast bagels and two coffees. The coffees were quite large and ran out of house blend so we tried hazelnut which was great. The place was busy early Saturday morning which goes to show it’s popularity. Would definitely return.
