We came before noon and we were seated quickly. Valet staff were nice upon arriving at the restaurant and our server was patient and kind. It was a great experience overall. Come hungry!
On top of that, our waiter Renee was AMAZING. She brought the best energy, was super attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcomed. Her service alone took the whole experience to another level—10x better, easily.
If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. Incredible food, great vibes, and top-tier service. I recommend everyone to pull up and try this spot. 10/10 across the board—we’ll definitely be back!
Once we sat, we were asked if we needed someone to take our order or if we wanted some time to peruse the extensive menu. We’d come for a specific item and didn’t need any extra time, so she sent someone over right away to take our order.
Although it was busy, it wasn’t a long wait. My husband enjoyed his burger while my nine-year-old and I split the Unicorn Waffle Tower. They happily accommodated our request to change the ice cream and cake flavors suggested on the menu.
Our waiter (David S.) was around when needed but never hovered or made us feel like we’d overstayed, and they kept the endless coffee filled.
It truly is a joyful place to eat, and the food tastes as amazing as it looks. We always smile in our home when we think of Brownstone Pancake Factory. It is worth the trip!
Visited with two people, and our experience was mixed.
Party 1 Meal:
• Eggs – 5/5
Perfectly cooked, fluffy, and flavorful. No complaints here.
• Bacon – 5/5
Crispy, hot, and prepared exactly the way bacon should be.
• Grits – 3/5
A bit inconsistent — thick on top but runny at the bottom. Needed more balance in texture.
• Banana Cream French Toast – 0/5
Major disappointment. Advertised as “banana cream,” but it was just sliced bananas covered in whipped cream. The toast wasn’t battered or seared like real French toast and tasted more like a quick, thrown-together dish rather than something prepared with care.
Party 2 Meal:
• Clam Chowder – 2/5
Very lacking in flavor. Needed salt, pepper, and seasoning just to make it enjoyable. Not memorable.
• Fish Panini – 2/5
Fresh and hot, but the fish itself had little to no flavor. Didn’t taste like a properly seasoned or battered piece of fish.
• Fries – 5/5
The highlight of the plate. Hot, crispy, and seasoned well.
Final Thoughts:
Service was fine, but the food quality was inconsistent. Some items were well executed (eggs, bacon, fries), while others fell far below expectations — especially the French toast and the fish dishes. With a bit more attention to seasoning, preparation, and consistency, this place could easily improve.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The vibe is fun, family friendly, and perfect for a casual brunch.
Highly recommend if you want brunch that’s over-the-top, delicious, and unforgettable.
But next time your server messes up make a new shake not wait and wait so the shake looks like crap because it’s melting… big loss on that one.
Pic of missing ice cream that the server dropped on the table. The Ferris wheel which i do think it was worth it just a sampler on a wheel but i get the whole photo op
Lastly a million people had a birthday which she was wearing a crown and they sang happy Birthday to like every single table but for her he didn’t … i wonder why ???cause he kept not checking on us .. except when it was time to pay he was literally on top of me hovering… i should of called the manager but it was useless not making a big deal while we were just trying to enjoy our day … zero stars for the unprofessionalism of servers.
