Cash-only, BYOB seafood shack serving the staples over picnic tables & a waterfront deck since 1950.

Excellent food! Prices are completely reasonable and although it was busy there was plenty of seating and parking! If you are passing this way to the beaches this is a must stop and eat kind of experience. Place order outside and then eat inside. Also you can bring your own beer in with you if you are inclined.

stopped by as it was along the road and we were looking for a place to eat.
Nice spot with good water views and ample space inside as well as parking, Service was fair and timely and place was clean and neat. Food was pricey though and didnt really stand out for me. Chowder was a bit too thick, lobster
roll was just okay; ordered baked fish too but had a lot of batter but taste was okay as well. perhaps a bit bland so you may have to season it yourself.

Loved this quaint, fresh seafood place on the water. Beautiful scenery, casual family atmosphere and amazing seafood right from their backyard. BYOB is an excellent added touch and ensures you get exactly what you want. We had fried whole clams and fried scallops fresh and highly recommended. Finally had normal vinegary coleslaw and the corn on the cob WOW. Place your order and grab your seat they call you once your order is ready, plan accordingly cash only but I think there’s an ATM on the premises. Can’t wait to go back 🙂

We’ve been coming to Brown’s Lobster Pound for years, and it’s hands down our favorite place for lobster. Every time we head up north to the beach, it’s a must-stop for us — we don’t even think twice. All we order is lobster, and it’s always the best! Even our 7-year-old insists on having her own lobster — that’s how good it is!
We can’t comment on the rest of the menu because honestly, we’ve never needed to try anything else. It’s all about the lobster for us, and Brown’s never disappoints. Bonus points for staying open on weekends in the winter too — that’s rare and super appreciated. Highly recommend for any lobster lovers out there!

Ever since discovering this seafood shack in summer years ago, we tried almost everything in the menu and has never been disappointed, it’s good to come down here off-season, no long wait and got to pick a seat with great view! The lobster was juicy with a tint of fresh sweetness, the oyster plate was crispy, plump and juicy! My girls used to joke on how fresh the seafood here as “ they still have plan tonight 20 minutes ago” when we dined here before.
The following is the reason I wanted to leave a review- A special note to the lady who was taking care of table cleaning, I left my purse behind while clearing the tray away, she brought it to me immediately before I even realized, really appreciate! Also the two staffs in the front desk were super friendly! This country style restaurant really brings out one of a kind of genuine service atmosphere , which may not be overwhelmingly welcomed as expected by some, but down to earth with decency, loved it and highly recommended !

Waited 45 minutes for cold food that was “meh” at best. Small portions, way overpriced for what you get. Lobster Mac and cheese was on par with what you would get in the microwave ready area of a grocery store, baked haddock was about the worst I’ve seen. The clam chowder was the best thing we had aside from the view from the dog friendly area out back. Not coming back here.

My sister’s and I LOVE going to Brown’s to get our seafood fix. The staff is great, the seafood is fresh, and we get to skip the messy cleanup at home. The boiled lobsters are always clean and sweet, and the fried seafood is just as amazing. We always look forward to going here and dripping in buttery goodness.

Casual seafood place where you can bring your own alcoholic beverages. This time around we got really good steamers (not dirty and super sandy and all broken up like last time). We also ordered lobster and fried seafood. If you like peace and quiet, definitely go during the week and during the day.

This place is the real deal. Family owned, no-frills, all-about-the-food kind of place! We were there in the off season, as soon as they opened, so we walked right in and ordered, our food came out quickly, and we had no problem finding a seat. You can tell that during the summer this place is a mad house. It’s right on a beautiful cove so the view is lovely and you can sit outside or inside, all tables are family style. Menu is really extensive (even if you have someone who doesn’t like seafood) and fairly priced for what you get. You can also get seafood, like lobster and clams, uncooked, to go. We got the lobster roll, haddock sandwich, clam strips, calamari, shrimp cocktail, and chowder. Every single thing was delicious! This place is an institution and we were happy it lived up to the hype. Definitely recommend

Food is incredibly overpriced for the portions. Food is overcooked and dripping in grease. Even the crackers for the chowder taste stale.
Weird that the skin is still on the haddock. Weird that the shrimp tail is still on the shrimp.
I also think it’s weird that after spending all day in the hot air on the beach, you’re still stuck with it because they don’t have any AC.
