We were traveling thru, and we needed a sit-down meal before continuing onward.
We were seated without a wait. The interior is older in nature and has some unassuming wear about the place, but clean and inviting, nonetheless.
Our server and service were kind, personable, and very attentive !
Our meals arrived quickly, AMPLE PORTIONS, well prepared, HOT unlike many chain restaurants dishes. No, our meals arrived freshly cooked and served hot! Yes indeed!
We had fried mushrooms as appetizers, grilled catfish & shrimp with sweet potato fries, green salad, & greens
Also had charbroiled chuck steak with sautéed mushrooms.

The mesquite grilled shrimp and all of the sides were phenomenal. Service was great as well. Fairly quiet with just enough music to not hear your neighbors. I’ll be back for the shrimp!

Basically high school quality food, but the atmosphere is excellent (considering the location), and waitress extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Even though she forgot a knife for my chicken fried steak. There was no mashed potatoes or green beans, which are standard sides with chicken fried steak.

Our server, Christie, was top-notch. WE ALWAYS get great service at this restaurant. The food has improved so much from the last owners! I don’t know what they’re doing but I hope they continue!

We never go through Louisiana without stopping at Brown’s Landing! The food is delicious and never disappoint. I recommend the catfish strips!!

Perfect little hidden gem in small town USA. The seafood is delicious, cooked to perfection. The steak was excellent, hushpuppies were fantastic, and the sweat potato fries are also highly recommended.
There was some sort of white goo in a ketchup bottle that I first assumed was tarter sauce, but it was unlike anything I ever tasted. It was obviously homemade and rich tasting, I should’ve asked asked for a bottle to go.
Even aside from the food, we had an excellent experience. It’s not fast food, but we got our food in a reasonable amout of time, even on a Friday night. Our server gave us proper attention and even helped an older (partially senile) gentleman in our party to navigate the menu with a vast amount of patience.
Overall, life changing experience. I’ll be back here as soon as I can.

I’ve been here a number of times for work for lunch. I think their lunches are sub-par and their salad bar is really sad. HOWEVER, I’ve heard their dinner is VERY good; I’ve heard the steaks are some of the best people have had and that the salmon is very good too. So i’ll have to give them a try for dinner sometime. As for the lunch however, not a fan. And the service has usually been like….a 4 outta 10. The servers are never all that friendly, warm or welcoming.

Had several meals there while visiting. The steaks were fabulous. I also had some scrumptious grilled shrimp. The service was was friendly; and the prices were very reasonable for the excellent quality.
