Ordered and paid for food online and told to arrive at specific time for pick up. Arrived on time only to find they were unaware of my order. Of course I ordered chicken and gizzards so I knew it would at least be another 20 minutes minimum. Turned out to be 45 minutes later my food was ready. Under normal circumstances I would have been upset but had a great conversation with another customer. Order came out correct and hot. I had to suggest to owner to provide me with something additional for the extended wait. He was very nice about it and gave me a piece of cheesecake. My feedback to the new owner: correct the website online ordering to alert you when an order comes through. I should not have to call to alert you of my order. If so, turn the online ordering feature off. The waiting area felt old and dirty. Clean up or hire a cleaning crew before you open up to the public. Purchase some better looking chairs and tables. What you have now, Goodwill would not want. Hire more staff. Several people waiting for orders while I was there…a few more customers would have pushed you two over the edge. The food was good, I appreciate “cook to order”. Fix the electronic menus. I’m hoping my honest feedback will encourage you to make a few simple adjustments and updates. The citizens of Joliet deserve much better and I believe you can deliver. Sincerely, best of luck!

A big Brown’s fan since I worked at one about 35 years ago. Only get to have it about twice a year now, but I make it a point to take some home whenever I’m in the area. Having said that, this was easily the worst Brown’s experience I’ve ever had. $50+ order, and half of it was inedible. Two chicken sandwiches ordered plain — double-checked they were ordered it that way — and both covered in mayo and the stuff I didn’t want and can’t eat.So, two $7 chicken sandwiches directly in the garbage. I guess I should have unpacked the entire order and checked the sandwiches. Also, a large mashed and gravy where the potatoes were actually potato soup. So thin they fell right through a fork. Clearly too much water added, and not something that should ever be served to a paying customer. The breadsticks were edible, but overcooked and didn’t have enough garlic butter. The mac and cheese was pretty good. Then add in the fact that I got to smell the food in the car for two hours before getting home and opening it and finding so much wrong, and being too far away to take it back. This not an experience I would voluntarily repeat. I’ll go to Downer’s next time. Also, to the owners — for a new store, that is the most sterile, uninviting Brown’s location I’ve ever been in. I will say the woman working (it appeared by herself) was pleasant. Perhaps get her some help, focus big time on the food quality, and keep in mind that sometimes when you hand someone a bag of food, they’re going to be taking it 100 miles home and don’t want to get disappointed when they finally open it.
