I haven’t eaten browns in over 12 yrs.I was out of town visiting and Me and my friend went and I ordered 10 wings plus my friend order a family meal . The young lady at counter was super! And patient. Like I said I haven’t eaten there in ages and my friend never tried browns chicken. Long story short the chicken was very, very, very salty! Even her family said the same. Idk if it was a accident or color of our skin. Only the cook knows. Anyway won’t go to this location anymore, not eating browns anymore. My go too is Popeyes, then church’s chicken, Harold’s. Haven’t been let down at those places. But please support your local businesses, even this location, like I said only the cook knows why me and my friend experience wasn’t pleasant.

We always love Browns Chicken but because of the price we have not had it in the past few months. I went today and they do have many weekly specials so I will be going more often. This restaurant was very clean, one person working both dine in and drive thru while 1 person prepared all the orders. The food was hot and fresh.

Went through the drive thru on October 7 around 5pm. The associate working was very rude. He responded with,”WHAT!” when gave him my order. Then when pulled to window I asked how much it was, he didn’t say anything and yelled,”Will that be cash or charge!”

I said,”It depends on how much it is.”

Even louder, he said”Well if you use a card there will be a 3% fee!”

I repeated,”How much is my order sir?”

Finally, he gave the price, I gave him cash , waited for my food and left.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Browns Chicken store!

Buy one get one for $1.00 total ripoff!!! $12.50 for chicken livers and gizzard insane! Cheapest food in the grocery store and Browns manages to ruin it with ridiculous over pricing. Definitely won’t be going back. Don’t waist your time or money. Better options every where else. There food has always been second rate, and now it’s priced as if was quality. Not even close. I walked out.

It’s hot or miss. Sometimes the chicken is good and moist and other times it’s dried out. The same goes for the pasta. Biscuits usually good…nice and buttery one of my fav places to get biscuits). Coleslaw is usually consistent, but last time it tasted like was sitting awhile (tasted like day old). Prices have drastically gone up. Previously could get 3 piece for $5.99 and now went up quite a bit to $8.99. I feel it’s a bit overpriced, including the price for small side. I often enjoy the corn fritters, but those are hit or miss also. Sometimes they are good and other times dried out. I also use to enjoy their “tangy coleslaw” but now is special order few hours ahead of desired. I normally go to Brown’s on spur of moment, so does t work out to be able to get the tangy slaw, which I feel is much better than their regular coleslaw. I usually drive thru.

We don’t get Brown’s often, the chicken isn’t the best, but they have some sides that we enjoy from time to time. But this past time I went, I showed up just around 7:50 PM (I know its close to closing, but I just wanted to get a quick side order and I had walked in at the same time as another customer, so I didn’t think it was a big deal). The customer in front of me ordered and the cashier, who was an older man, proceeded to have a personal conversation with the customer until his food was ready, and the order was not made quick. In fact, it took 10 minutes until the food was ready and so it was already 8:00 PM by the time the customer in front of me left. I tried to order and was actually laughed at and told I couldn’t because they were closed. I explained how I had been there for 10 minutes before closing, but just didn’t have my order taken. The man basically told me too bad, even though if he had just taken my order before having a conversation with the customer before me, I could have placed my order before closing and gotten my food.

The service isnt usually Michelin quality, but this was a new low. I would have been understanding and not written anything if I was treated with some respect, but this was a very bad experience.
To anyone looking to get Brown’s chicken, I’d recommend going to either their Bolingbrook or Naperville locations.
