Browns Cheesesteaks on the strip in Geneva-on-the-Lake is hands down one of my favorite stops! Boomer, the owner, and his family treat every customer like they’re part of their own. You can really feel the warmth and friendliness when you walk up to the stand.
The menu is simple, but that’s the beauty of it—every single bite is packed with flavor. I’ve been to Philadelphia, and I can honestly say Browns rivals any cheesesteak shop in Philly. They do it right here on the Lake.
The shop is right on the strip next to Lake Erie, so not only do you get an amazing cheesesteak, but you also get to enjoy the fun, lively, and beautiful atmosphere of Geneva-on-the-Lake. For me, it’s worth the ride—85 miles one way on my Harley—just to sink my teeth into one of these sandwiches.
If you love authentic cheesesteaks and a friendly, welcoming vibe, Browns is the place to go.

One of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. I’ve been following them on Facebook for a while and finally got a chance to try them out and it was worth the wait. I definitely won’t wait as long to go next time. Got the original cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions. And I did American and cheese Wiz. You can tell the quality of the meat and even the bread was amazing!! It’s a must try!!

I had the pleasure of eating at Browns today for lunch with my son. This was the best cheesesteak by far that I have had outside of Philadelphia, and honestly it gives the heavyweights there a run for their money. Steak is cooked fresh to order and smothered with Coopers white sharp cheddar just like they use in Philly. The bread is the exact right bread as well. If you are a fan of Philly Cheesesteaks than you absolutely have to try this. I will be back soon!

Stopped by for lunch today (6/23/23) I had the cheese steak (pictured)with all 3 cheeses peppers and salt n pepper. By far one of the best cheese steaks in the area. If it were possible I’d give it more than 5 stars. Keep up the great work. I will be back again soon.

Great place for a cheesesteak! We got 1 cheesesteak and 1 chicken cheesesteak sandwich and 2 sides on mac a cheese. The sandwiches were 10 out of 10, the mac and cheese 7 out of 10. Service was great, and food came out quickly. If we make it back this way we will be back!

Drove from nearby Philly to Erie, then Erie to Cleveland for a WWE show, but wanted to detour and check this place out. Ordered a cheesesteak wiz wit out. Really really good! It’s chopped style, and only Angelo’s I thought was better out of 15 or so places I’ve tried in the Philly city and suburb area, as well as Delaware and Jersey areas. Can’t emphasize enough the steak itself was very tasty. Give this place a try!

3 of us had cheesteaks (2 beef and 1 chicken) on Friday night. We all were absolutely disappointed as all 3 tasted like nothing but salt. At 15.00 a piece we were very upset. I will compliment the amount of meat provided but too bad we couldn’t handle the very very very salty taste! So sad

This place is absolutely legit. Best steaks in the immediate area. Probably in all of Cleveland area too. Got the Traditional with White American, Onion and Shrooms on the Amoroso style roll. They absolutely do Philly Steaks justice. Stop here when you’re in town.
