Server was attentive and very friendly. Food came out fairly quick and was hot. We ordered the Beef Manhattan and a Patty Melt with fried Okra and Tater Tots. House made ranch was good and thick (used it as dipping sauce). We had the Fried Sugar Cream Pie with raspberry sauce for dessert. I thought the fried pie was going to be a couple to few strips, for some reason, but it came out as a single piece comparable to a corn dog size. It was very good as well.

If you are in Brown County and looking for a great place to eat, please give this place a try. We did and it was definitely worth stopping by. When we travel, we support local business, family restaurants are excellent small businesses to support. If a place disappoints me, I am respectful and just move on without offending them. But if a place is worth a good review, I will mention them on here. This place is worth a compliment. Our waitress Brianna was awesome, she had the best attitude of any waitress we’ve had in our travels. Our food was great, well prepared, and portions
were generous. The catfish was perfect and my wife loved the pork rib eye. After seeing the salad she had I am getting it on our next visit. You will not get better food for the money at any fancy restaurant around. Their prices are very reasonable.

We love this place. Food is excellent, service is as well. We went on Friday around 4ish. When we left around an hour later it was overwhelmingly packed for my taste. We love the fish and tenderloin. The pies are to die for!!!Coconut cream and chocolate are our favs!

Great place to have breakfast or lunch. I had the walleye and my wife had the chicken salad. Everything was good! The best was the coconut cream pie we had. It was delicious and we did a takeout of a piece for my buddy.

Small town diner atmosphere. We went for the fish fry Friday, and it was well worth it. $13.75 for all you can eat fish. Comes with fries or tater tots, cole slaw, and hush puppies.
They also have amazing pie desserts.
And service was top notch.
Update: went back 2 years later (we’re from Ohio) and the food is still amazing. We had a BLT, a club and an open faced roast beef. OMG it was yummy. Great service.

We were looking for a sit down restaurant for breakfast on our last day in the area. Nashville had a couple options, but the prices were steep and the seating was limited. We made the short drive here and was not disappointed! Our waitress was a sweetheart who treated everyone with kindness. The food portions were great and it tasted good. Will definitely remember this spot the next time we come to the area.

This is what you want a small town country diner to be. Fresh pie, home cooking, and friendly service. I highly recommend the chili, burgers, and anything on their dessert menu, if anything is left.
Last time, I was there with a buddy. I’m not from Indiana and have never had a pork tenderloin sandwich. My buddy is and is a self proclaimed aficionado. He had never been there and said it was the best tenderloin he ever had.
I’ve been there several times over the past few years and am never disappointed.

Great home cooked food! I stopped for dinner after spending the day at Brown County State Park. I had the pork steak with mashed potatoes and green beans served with coleslaw slaw and a slice of Texas toast.
Everything was homemade, good portions and tasted fantastic.
Service was great too.
I was too full for desert but bought 2 pieces of pies to go, peanutbutter cream and a butterscotch cream.
The pie is not to be missed! Best I ever had.

We stopped here for lunch, first time here. When walking in, you can clearly see, this is an old family diner. Waitress says sit wherever you like. We grab a booth, cushions old and torn, waitress comes over wipes our table down. Our servers name , Aimee. Aimee was truly amazing, taking care of everyone in the restaurant, she was so sincerely friendly, an awesome human for sure. A man came out from the kitchen serving area, who I think was one of the owners, nodded hello and helped pour the coffee to the other tables. We ordered a cheeseburger with chips and catfish sandwich with fries. Not disappointed at all. She said the burger was perfect and my catfish sandwich was delicious. I ordered some kind of fried stick pastry for dessert , which was filled with custard and chocolate on the side, totally yummy. Whenever I go somewhere, I try to support the small businesses, non commercial real deal establishments. This place was clean, service was great, prices were right, food was delicious. All walks of life, from locals, bikers, farmers, truckers, artsy and tourists here. A friendly establishment. Wish it was closer, I would be a regular here.
