We stopped in just passing through the area and needed to eat lunch with our 2 toddlers. They had plenty of clean baby high chairs. This place was good. The cafe was clean and quiet. We ordered fish and shrimp. I liked the breading. It was light. It came with a salad, homemade cake, tartar sauce, fries and toast. Our kids had homemade chicken strips and fries. Friendly person who worked the front counter. Welcoming place.

My husband and me came for lunch and both got the red beans and rice plate lunch. I got fried shrimp on the side and he got fried wings.
To say that the food is delicious would be an understatement! I felt like I was back in my daddy’s kitchen eating his beans that he put all his love into! You guys NEED to try this place out. This was our first time, but it will certainly not be our last.

Absolutely amazing!!! My boyfriend and I love going to this restaurant. The owner and employees are always welcoming and polite! The food is always amazing, always cooked right and the presentation is wonderful! Every meal is so heart warming. I will always go back for the experience. Thank you!!

Seriously good home cooked food with some soul! Great area, plenty of seating and a great staff. The gentleman who took my order was knowledgeable and very nice. Lots of choices with multiple daily plate lunches and short orders. Everything was well seasoned, and cooked expertly. Not often do I like everything served in a plate. This was very good. It was my first time and I’m definitely going back!

10/10 ! We got lunch for the office here – fried pork chop and hamburger steak. The only bad thing I can say is that I am so full I wish I could take a nap at work., lol. Very tasteful and was made fresh on the spot, not your typical plate lunch spot but deserves more recognition !!!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Lafayette, I had a hot sausage poboy, bacon cheeseburger poboy, hamburger steak over rice, came with a slice of cake, a regular cheeseburger and 10 piece barbecue wings. I highly recommend this place. When my family come visit this is a place I will take them to relax and enjoy some good food.
