Brown House Cafe is one of our local favorites. The food is always excellent and the service is always top notch. Even when they are swamped and under pressure they move things quickly and efficiently. If they are super busy and wait times are longer than normal, they will inform you of the situation so you are aware. It is always a pleasure to dine here and we love the family-owned atmosphere. I highly recommend you stop in.

I called in an order for sirloin steak well done, broccoli with cheese and a side salad. Literally the only thing I got right was the salad. They left part of my order out and when picking it up they assured it was correct. Get to open the food they gave me queso and broccoli and the steak still wasn’t cooked. Melanie was her name both times her attitude was poor she seemed more argumentative than assisting in providing good customer service. The steak has so much fat on it I would not recommend this to anyone.

I really wanted to give this place a great review based on its rate score from previous guest. However, when you first walk in, this place has a down home, laid back vibe, and it was crowded and monothematic in its presence. (brown and more brown everywhere). I wasn’t impressed at all. I was greeted by the hostess and was told it would be a few minutes before I could be seated.

This place has some really amazing food and the staff is awesome too. Andy is a rockstar server very attentive and kind. If you’re lucky enough to have Joseph prepare your food then you will be in for a treat. I had the Cobb salad with the fried chicken and let me tell you the chicken was juicy, crispy, and had a perfect ratio of breading to chicken. The bacon is high quality and gives just the right crunch texture and saltiness to the dish. All the vegetables tasted really fresh and the portion was very respectful. I couldn’t decide on the sauce so I got their home made ranch and thousand islands on the side and tried a little of both. Personally switching back and forth between the two sauces elevated the dish to the highest of uncharted territory. They sell large quantities of the ranch which means people buy large quantities of their home made ranch. Buy some ranch and dip your favorite ranch vessel in there. In the picture there is also chicken fried chicken I recommend taking some of that chicken and putting it in the loaded baked potato. Now if you’re feeling adventurous throw in some of that Mac n cheese in there too. Since they provide so much food plan accordingly. Save some room for the coconut cream pie the cream is really good however for me just a tad bit more whip cream than I would have liked. They have a long list of pies to try so pick your favorite. I wish I lived closer I would definitely visit more often. If you’re in the area skip the tourist spots with the long lines and try some food prepared with love and experience.

Great service, big portions! My family and a friend’s family stopped by to try it today. Good American dinner style food (excellent!) And portions are generous, Texas style! My wife and I shared the Fried Stake and eggs and added toasts as a side. Once the food came, we realized we would have left overs 🙂 Our 2 years shared the fingers and pancakes, the “almost” finished.

I’m a big biscuit and gravy gal and was excited about this place but it sure did disappoint, biscuit was had as bricks all I could eat was some of the insides that were still over baked . Sausage patty was ok, won’t stop here again

We are from out of town and decided to try their food. Wait was short, food came out fast and warm. Husband ordered the biscuit gravy plate. Biscuits were full of flavor and not dry. I ordered the French toast plate. It was amazing! Loved the food and vibe of the place. Best breakfast we have had!

Longest wait time I’ve ever experienced before getting my order. Over 70-80 minutes just for a grilled chicken sandwich. I get that they were crowded, but I counted like 8-10 people working in the kitchen.
