The best chicken fried chicken I’ve had!! The 8oz sirloin had zero fat and I really think that was NOT 8oz; it was easily 10 or even 12 oz! Husband said it was the best steak he’s had too!! ❤️❤️ Side note: white gravy was served on the side and it was perfect! Oh and we also got a cinnamon roll to go! So stuffed!!

If you are an out-of-towner and have experienced any sort of mediocre breakfast cuisine, you will be incomparably disappointed by this establishment.
For $15, I could have made myself a far superior breakfast.
Eggs with zero salt or pepper, overcooked. yum. Gravy that obviously came from a packet, not from a rue, and even following the instructions on the store bought gravy was too difficult as it was runny and flavorless. I will say the pancakes and syrup had a good flavor of “butter” and “syrup”. (All corn syrup and saturated vegetable oil).
Looking at what appeared to be regulars of this establishment, I assumed the food would be very good. I was mistaken, Waco is devoid of culture or flavor. This restaurant is the epitome of such decay.
Oh and the waitress got my ticket wrong twice. And if youre flying out of Waco, don’t show up any later than 45 minutes prior to take off, or they won’t let you through TSA. Also, everyone drives 10 miles under the speed limit. This restaurant was afwul.

This here place is great!! I had chicken fried chicken and she had the chicken salad and soup. Very very good! I am so glad I didnt want to go to the usual chain. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!!

Visited Brown House Cafe for the very first time today for breakfast.
Upon entrance we were greeted immediately and took less than 2 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was absolutely amazing!!
Breakfast options are great and I LOVE that i can build my own omelet which turned out super delicious. Coffee was great as well. We found ourselves a new breakfast spot for sure and definitely want to try dinner as well!!
Atmosphere I found very cozy.

Food is great…that’s why we keep trying to go but Wednesday will be the last for awhile again. It’s been a handful of times that we have gone and the customer service is just crap! The other times man it’s 100% great. But when you communicate to your table I’ll be back to take the order and then you disappear for a bit. Appear again and then continue to wait on the other two tables that were sat AFTER us.

This lovely Cafe had the hometown feel and an aroma-filled atmosphere you couldn’t fake.
The cook made me a stack of, white chocolate chip and blueberries pancakes. You wouldn’t regret a visit at this grand location and restaurant.
We had a 25 minute wait-time for a table. But, every moment was worth the wait.
Wi-Fi was available and the Arnold Palmer Mixed Tea I requested felt fresh and crisp like the mid morning breeze.
I recommend this restaurant when you’re in the mood for farm fresh eggs and newly thick-sliced beacon.

It’s been a minute since going. food was great as always. service was OK. But I’m disappointed at the cleaning the floors were sticky everywhere you walked. the women’s bathroom was dusty. it was a very clean place. I know from decades of service the front of the house reflects the back of the house.

Ordered the omelet, well cooked, onions were purple, i would have enjoyed a white sweet onion, the cheese was not falvorful, mostly white, cheddar would have been a better blend. Hash brown were good, nicely shredded, but could have been more crispy. Very little sausage and appread to have links cut up.

Fast service and always delicious, big helpings of food. My favorite is the chicken and pancakes. Great local spot if you’re on the southwest side of Waco in the Hewitt/Woodway area.
