The Sneaky Spoon
We had a great experience here. The server and hostess were both very friendly, and although the bathroom was in a somewhat unusual location, everything else made up for it. The place can get busy any night of the week, and since it’s on the smaller side, it fills up quickly. Parking is your typical downtown-square setup—busy and a bit limited—but manageable with a little patience.
We started with the duck fries, which were fantastic. We’re not even big collard greens people, but the dish was rich, flavorful, and honestly could’ve been a meal on its own.
For entrées, we tried the Fresh Prince Philly and the medium Southern Charm burger. The Philly was really good, and the side of grits was so delicious—there’s definitely some creative magic happening in that recipe. The burger itself was tasty, though it could’ve used a bit more pepper jelly. The huge portion of sweet potato fries with honey created a perfect sweet-and-salty combo.
We finished with the special honey nut crunch cheesecake, which was just as interesting as it was delicious. The layers had great flavor and made for a fun twist on a classic dessert.
Overall, it was a fun outing, and if we’re ever passing through again, we’d definitely stop back in.

First time! Ambiance was a little noisy. But I admit the music coming out of the kitchen area was lovely and helped them move! The servings on all the dishes I saw was full, delicious looking and people were certainly in here!. Our appetizers were ok…collard green dip and fried green tomatoes….the dip, spicey but good. The tomatoes…nah…batter was too heavy. Everything else was ok… Their burgers looked off the chain good. Madison our server was very sweet. Nice hang out in Carrollton, GA.

This place never disappoints, the service is always great even when it is crowded. The food is excellent and there are so many choices of farm to table flare. I love love love the fried green tomatoes! Highly recommend if you have never gone while in Carrollton.

Our first time in Carrollton and so glad we ate here for lunch! We tried three different sandwiches amongst the three of us, and the Wicked Brisket was the best one! They were all good, but that one was the best! Their drinks were great too. I had their Asher mocktail and it was delicious. If you only have time to try one place, let it be this place!

Service- GREAT! Food- DELICIOUS! The fried green tomatoes are ! My husband ordered the Wicked Brisket and enjoyed. A definite stop when we’re in the area. We also got a banana pudding to go!

The service was wonderful and the food was delicious! What more could you ask for? The blackened salmon was quite possibly the best salmon I’ve ever had in my life. Will definitely eat here again next time I’m in Carrollton. This place is popular so be prepared to wait for a table and finding parking may be a challenge, depending on the day.

I visited The Brown Dog Eatery on a busy Saturday with Georgia State football playing and the Christmas parade about to start in an hour. Despite the crowd, I managed to grab a seat at the bar. I ordered the special of the day—a brisket grilled cheese—and it was absolutely delicious! Having just moved to the area, this was my first visit, and I’ve now been twice. Unfortunately, both times, my fries came out cold, so I’d recommend specifically asking for fresh, hot fries. That said, I still love the place—the drinks, the atmosphere, and the overall experience are great!

We stayed near Carrollton GA while we were in town for the race. My fiancé and I wanted something good to eat. I asked a local gentleman where we should go. He pointed us in the direction of this place! Let me tell you I am only disappointed about one thing! And that is the fact that I don’t live closer to this place so I could go more often! Everything from the minute we walked in the door till we left was absolutely great! Fiancé had the “ key lime martini” we both loved it! Food was plentiful and fresh! Didn’t take that long to come out even though the place was absolutely packed out. The atmosphere was nice and inviting, everyone seemed to be happy and having a great time. Right outside is a music amphitheater also have outside seating near that. So much on the menu sounded delicious I was t sure what to order. They do have specials as well. And they have top shelf bourbons and whiskey selection. Impressive! Definitely wish we could come back, maybe in the future. I would highly recommend this place if you’re even with in the vicinity of it! Thank you for great service and great food! All the way from NC
