Sat at the end of the bar, Jared made sure our beers and belly were full!! In a packed bar on Super Bowl Sunday it’s easy to lose quality. But I never once had to wait for service. Wings were hot and crispy, beer was cold, what else could you ask for?

Okay – I’ll start by mentioning that my expectations (based on the upscale name) were much higher than what it actually was – a bar. The woman behind the bar was nice and the chef was kind so the staff gets kudos.
Based on the name, I expected a full restaurant. Brothers on Oak sounds fancy. I even looked at the menu online and the food sounds more upscale-ish (not bar food). So my expectations for the prices were already skewed.
I had the Grilled Chicken Melt which sounded amazing. I did order it without a bun (gluten issue) but I had visions of a big chicken breast smothered in dressing, cheese (it did say “melt”) with diced tomatoes, lettuce and such. What I got was a small breast in a box with shredded parm, Italian dressing, a few pieces of lettuce and slices of tomato that were simply out of season and should not have even been sold by the grocery store. All for $13. No fries.
Fries are an upcharge of $2 on top of the menu price.
It was food – it tasted okay. But for the price I paid I really expected a lot more. And it was simply a bar. If you like bars, then this might be the best place for your best meal. Not knocking it if your expectations were exactly that. But name vs atmosphere vs food – no go for me.

The perfect Wisconsin bar! It’s my go to burger place, I can tell they pride themselves on their food and drinks. The bartenders are always so fun and silly, I always end up staying a couple more rounds. Clean bar, clean bathrooms, and dope Dj. Game nights are popping. Best memories here, I couldn’t recommend this bar more.

We stopped into Brothers on Oak to celebrate our St Patrick’s day and the experience surpassed our expectations by a mile. The service was friendly and prompt (despite how busy it way). The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the food was INCREDIBLE. One of the best burgers I’ve had. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Great food awesome atmosphere. My wife and I stopped in for a rare date night instead of going to some other place in Madison. It was well worth going to Brothers on Oak. The Bro Burger has tons of flavor and the house made quesso cheese sauce is a must to dip your fries in. My wife said that her Buffalo Chicken Pita was good even cold after eating the left overs the next day. Get in early for quicker service.

Decent customer service but be careful with ordering online delivery. I tried to place an online order for a very large party and they couldn’t fulfill my order. Lots of time wasted and had to cancel my order. Not a good experience.

My new favorite place in Baraboo. Stopped in last weekend for a promotion and saw they had Peach Margaritas with Don Julio for $6/each. Came back and had the peach margarita, a delicious gyros and a cranberry surprise. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The sandwich was outstanding, drinks were cold and delicious. A place where you hope everyone would know you by name! A sleepy baby frenchie named Archie <3

Disappointing dining experience. Our server seemed a bit off and kept an unusual distance from the table, making it hard to hear him. I had a couple very simple requests with my order that weren’t followed, and my glass sat empty for most of the meal, was never asked if I wanted more to drink. Food was dropped off by the cook, not the server, and no one checked in to see how things were. The portion of fries was shockingly small for the price. Overall, not worth the visit. Won’t be returning. 🙁
