Eli and Joe are truly the Jordan and Pippen of bartending and floor staff. Eli runs the bar with precision and confidence, crafting great drinks while keeping the energy high and the crowd engaged. Joe dominates the floor, making sure everything flows smoothly, guests are taken care of, and no detail gets overlooked. Like any great duo, they make each other better. When it’s busy, they communicate seamlessly, anticipate what the other needs, and execute without missing a beat. Their teamwork, consistency, and leadership set the tone for the entire staff. Together, they don’t just do their jobs well — they elevate the whole operation

Eli is an outstanding bartender who truly elevates the entire experience. He’s attentive, personable, and always makes you feel welcome the moment you walk up to the bar. His drink recommendations are spot-on, and you can tell he takes pride in crafting each cocktail with care and precision. On top of that, he handles busy nights with ease, staying organized and upbeat while still giving every customer great service. Eli doesn’t just serve drinks – he creates an atmosphere that keeps people coming. Also joe is pretty chill

Eli is hands down one of the best bartenders at Brothers. It gets crazy busy in there, especially on weekends, but he somehow keeps everything moving while still being friendly and personable. He’s quick, knows exactly what he’s doing, and doesn’t make you wait around forever like a lot of college bar bartenders can.

He’s got great energy, remembers faces, and makes the whole experience more fun. You can tell he actually cares about the vibe and making sure people are having a good time. If you’re at Brothers, definitely try to grab drinks from Eli, he makes the night better.

Brothers at Purdue is absolutely elite, and a massive part of what makes it so special is the incredible staff—especially Eli Schuman and Joe Funk, who truly run the place with unmatched energy and professionalism. From the second you walk in, they make everyone feel welcome while keeping the vibes high and the night moving perfectly. They know how to balance great service with insane atmosphere, turning an already legendary bar into the best spot on campus. Drinks are always flowing, the crowd is electric, and the experience is consistently top-tier thanks to them.

Bored and need a lift? Brothers is the place to be, especially because two of their employees are some of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met. Joe and Eli truly make you feel like you are their number one priority every time you walk in. Joe is easy to talk to and always treats you with respect. He takes a second to check in and makes sure you’re good, even when it’s busy. Eli is the same way. He is friendly, steady, and makes sure everything runs smoothly. You can tell he cares about doing things the right way and making people feel comfortable. They just make the place feel more welcoming without making a big deal out of it.

If you’ve been to Brothers on a busy night, you know how much the experience depends on the people running it. That’s why Joe and Eli stand out.

Joe works the floor, and he honestly runs it. He’s constantly moving, checking tables, making sure people are good, keeping things organized when it gets packed. Even when it’s chaotic, he never looks overwhelmed. He’s quick to handle issues before they become problems and makes everyone feel taken care of. You can tell he takes pride in making sure the whole place operates smoothly, not just his section.

Eli is behind the bar, and he’s exactly who you want mixing drinks on a Friday night. He’s fast, efficient, and still manages to keep the energy up. He remembers regulars, keeps conversations going, and doesn’t let the rush affect his attitude. Drinks come out quick and strong, and the vibe around his bar is always fun.

Joe keeps the floor tight and the night running right. Eli keeps the bar moving and the energy high. Together, they make Brothers what it is.

Peering in through the window, Brothers Bar seemed like an unfamiliar environment for me. However upon entering I was magically greeted by an employee named “Joe”, who greeted me with a smile brighter than the sun on his face. Another employee named “Eli” matched employee Joe’s energy and added to the welcoming atmosphere. It very much made my day and for that reason I would absolutely recommend Brothers Bar if you’re looking for a fun night out in West Lafayette.

Has to be the best place to go on a night out in West Lafayette. Drinks are amazing, music is fun, and above all else the service is incredible. Eli and Joseph both made my night with the outstanding kindness and consideration I was shown as a patron. 11/10 would recommend as the best bar in Tippecanoe County.

Eli absolutely crushed it at Brothers. From the second we walked up, he was friendly, welcoming, and on top of everything. Even with the bar getting packed and people calling out a bunch of different orders at once, he stayed calm, organized, and somehow still made it feel like he actually had time for you. That matters a lot in a busy place, and he handles it better than most bartenders I’ve seen.

Service was fast without feeling rushed. He listened, asked the right quick questions when needed, and didn’t mess around with confusion or wrong drinks. Everything we ordered came out exactly right, and the quality was consistent the whole time, not just on the first round. If you’re unsure what to get, he’s also great with recommendations and can point you toward something you’ll actually like instead of just naming the most basic option.

What really stood out was his attitude. He kept a great vibe, stayed upbeat, and treated people with respect even when it was chaotic and the bar was three people deep. He was handling a ton at once, but he never took it out on customers, and he didn’t ignore anyone. You could tell he was paying attention and making sure the whole section stayed moving. Also, he was super fair about the order of service and didn’t play favorites, which is honestly rare at a crowded college bar.

Overall, Eli is the kind of bartender that makes you want to come back. Great energy, great service, and he clearly takes pride in doing the job well. If you’re at Brothers, do yourself a favor and get in Eli’s line. He’ll take care of you.

Joe is cool too

Eli is one of the hardest-working and honest workers I’ve ever come across in my life. 10/10 hands down would recommend coming to this bar over any other in West Lafayette, IN. This bartender gave me the best experience of any bar I’ve ever been to, and I will for sure be returning because of him. To his manager specifically, give the guy a medal for me, or three.
