If you’re going to go with the nacho, come with an appetite or at least 4 people. You’ll certainly get your money’s worth for the food to order but it can also add up very quickly if you start putting on a lot of sides and appetizers. And I was a little disappointed they didn’t have any Wild Turkey Bourbon.

I always enjoy their food, but this review is for the excellent service I received. I had ordered lunch for a work meeting but when the meeting got moved up to an earlier time, I panicked knowing that there was a possibility the food would get here much later. No one can focus in business meetings on an empty stomach! I reached out to Brother Jimmy’s and spoke with the manager on duty, Colleen, who was able to accommodate the schedule change (even though the kitchen wasn’t even open yet!). The food order arrived correctly, still hot, and on time. Very pleased!

GREAT food, BAD service. That about sums this place up. I went for lunch with my lady friend and was greeted by a herd of girls chatting (these were the waitresses). They chose to sit us in a corner at a tiny table, despite the fact that we were the only people currently in the dining area. After waiting 10 minutes without anyone asking if we’d like to order drinks or an appetizer (although the bus-boy was on the ball, filled our glasses in seconds of sitting down), I finally called over a waitress from her group conversation to ask if we could have a larger table, which she obliged.

It took another 15 minutes to order our food and appetizer. It took 10 minutes for her to bring me a refill of iced tea. This would not bother me if it was a busy time, but we were one of only two tables currently dining. When we finally received our food, I’ll admit it was delicious. The pulled pork is recommended. As a side note, the ketchup we were served (in a serving bottle) smelled rancid, and when we asked for a replacement it smelled the same. I am not an expert on the smell of rotten ketchup so I can make no solid judgement; however it did not smell right.

Overall, the service was ONE star, but the food was FIVE. The manager should not have waited until after we finished our meal and paid the bill before coming to ask us if everything was good. I made him very aware of the fact that the waitresses (5 or more of them) are casually chatting in a group when there are customers waiting to be served. I realize it’s a college town and likely college ladies, but I am a college student as well and expect a bit more professionalism. I might return if I hear the service gets better.

Bottom line: If you want great food with lazy servers, go to Brother Jimmy’s.

Food is decent but service SUCKS. ESPECIALLY Delivery. Stay far away if you want it delivered. They always take at least 20 minutes more then they promise. Today I ordered 2 cheeseburger and was told 45 minute till delivery. Over 90 minutes later and, after calling in, I’m told it’ll be another 15 minutes. For burgers?

Really enjoyed the new wing flavors. Server was a little confused and made a few mistakes but the food is always good here. Been here several times and they should do a better job training their staff. It always seems like there servers miss a few things or get out orders wrong. Still great food and we’ll look passed the service and return

Really good BBQ. .50 wing special on the weekend. Big juicy tasty 4 or 5 different sauces /rubs. Nashville was awesome. Buffalo as well not ur typical Frank’s hot sauce slathered wings. Spicy but not too much with good buttery flavor

What initially attracted me to this restaurant was the aroma I smelled walking past it on my way to work everyday. Sadly, the aroma was the best part. I paid $23 for a small portion of ribs, corn on the cob and about 2oz of mcaroni and cheese. The food was alright but not worth the price and definitely did not live up to smell the restaurant gave off. I definitely will not be returning.

Was not the Biggest fan of all the Prices on the Menu. BUTTT i will pay over and over for the Naked wings here. I absolutely love the naked wings. BBQ pulled pork is second on my list. Ribs were Average. I will more likely only come here to drink and get wings. not to sit and eat and big dinner.

First time and it was ok. I had the fried catfish, BBQ rib tips and southern sweet tea. Ok so the catfish was not very good. It had way too much breading and the fish itself was wet and soggy. It was short on taste too.The ribs and the sauce was good, nothing great but ok. Didn’t like the sweet tea. I’m going to go back and try the nachos next time. Another customer ordered it and it looked good but huuuge.

When you walk off the NJ Transit train in the evening your senses will be hit with the sweet smell of barbecue, and you’ll come upon Brother Jimmy’s Barbeque.

At first glance, this place seems like it will give you a real barbecue experience, until you ask for some sauce. Brother Jimmy’s sauces are the most watered down barbecue sauces I have EVER come across. I don’t know if they are trying to stretch out the batch, but dousing your food in water isn’t appealing. I was really expecting some good eats from this place, but it’s mediocre at best. In all honesty, if you’re feeling for ribs and good flavor visit your local Friday’s and order the Jack Daniels ribs. I guarantee you will be more satisfied. Stop there for a drink, not food, unless there’s nothing else open in that area, which I doubt.
