Found this hidden gem on our travels through Ohio. Not far from the Interstate. Excellent experience for dinner. Food was great, service was exceptional. Had that hometown charm and probably a local favorite hangout.

It was very much a 1950s small town diner experience. The retro decor and the friendly staff make you feel welcome. Having never eaten there before I will say the food was not quite as good as I was expecting, however, it was good fair for the price. Also other menu choices may be better. We had the onion chips and the hamburger steak ( pictured ). I will definitely be back

The fried pickles, fried mushrooms, sweet potato fries were excellent. The shake is one of the best strawberry shakes I have had. I wasn’t really impressed with the fish. The man behind me said the meatloaf was fantastic. Friendly place to eat.

Kind of feels like your back in time has a diner type of feel really clean place there’s a wraparound serving table with swivel pedestal seats do you consider if you’re by yourself quite a bit of seating I’ve been there twice this week never knew this place and was around I would highly recommend their two-piece fried catfish dinner or the Cod Dinner their cheeseburgers and desserts are really good must try their homemade desserts their Buckeye brownie dessert is really really good friendly great service reasonably priced no TVs so it’s not like you know sports bar they play music but it’s like oldies they’re Burger dinners or $8.49 they’re big dinners that you get two sides with or $13.49 the Buckeye brownie was $7.49 coffee is always fresh

Reply to Brookville Grill comment: Our waitress was made aware of our dissatisfaction and my son asked her to take the waffle off the bill. I explained everything to the young lady who checked us out at the register as well. She truly was sorry we had a bad experience. There was no offer to reduce our bill any further or other remedy however. To your comment about not over seasoning the food, you have to understand there was no seasoning on the eggs or the sausage gravy. Extremely bland. We had a great experience the first visit, not the second one though.

Edited 1/28/2023. After our first visit, which was great, we stopped out for breakfast again. I ordered the home made sausage gravy and biscuit and texas french toast. My son ordered a waffle and eggs. My sausage gravy was entirely unseasoned. I added a lot of salt and pepper, still was not flavorful. My French toast had only a hint of cinnamon and the egg wash was not evident. My son’s waffle had a powerful bitter flavor, he was done after one bite. His scrambled eggs had no seasoning. Not sure who was cooking today, but they definitely need training and management.

Stopped in for breakfast, very satisfying. An order of pancakes is three large pancakes which was two too many for my wife. The Belgian waffle was very airy and flavorful. Hash browns and sausage links were delicious. Bacon nice and crispy and long! I do not have an issue with anything we ordered. Very happy!

Classic American diner with plentiful options from burgers to salads to delicious ice cream. Our server Maggie was very kind, attentive, and had great recommendations. Prices are affordable – a burger is $3! Highly recommend if you’re in need of a quick stop for fresh food in a cozy setting.

Extensive menu of mediocre food. I wanted to have 3 visits. Before I left a review. The positive service, ice cream milkshakes, and some breakfast items. The not so great, the gourmet burgers are dry frozen tasteless fries heat lamp, not fresh. Sandwiches the same. When leaving, the staff use fingers in peanut butter to make ice cream…..something

We were spending the night in Brookville and happened on Google search for restaurants near me and this place was very close and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. It reminded us of an old American diner type atmosphere and menu. Their menu and prices were awesome. They make their own ice cream and pies. We had burgers, coconut cream and candy bar pie. Would absolutely say to pay this place a visit if you get the opportunity. The staff was also awesome and the owner cooked our burgers.

A bit crowded, but it is small inside. Our waitress was brand new that day and was working hard. She did a great job.
