I meet a friend for lunch here. He said it’s over of his favorites. I can certainly see why.
We started with a beautiful complimentary salad. It was a treat for the eyes for sure.
Wanting to get a variety in we ordered an Weekday Special and a Lunch Sushi Special. The sushi was fresh and delightful! Between the 2 lunch items we ordered, there was so much we regretfully couldn’t eat it all.
I will definitely be back to taste more of their menu.

Good sushi is hard to find in Kansas City because it truly is an art form. Couple hard to find with fresh and creative rolls and you have only a few options to pick from. Brookside Sushi is among one of those greats.

This is my new favorite restaurant. Plenty of parking, great seating, and a bright, cozy vibe. We originally got a carry out order (I loved that I could just text their number and talk to them about what I wanted), but when we got inside we knew we had to eat it there. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Lots of smiles.
The food was amazing. We got the sampler platter and didn’t try a single thing we didn’t like (kids loved it too and they’re picky eaters). SO much food for $33 as well.
I can’t wait to come back and try more things on this menu, we only scratched the surface today.

The sushi is delicious and the service is fantastic. Had their spicy yellow tail and brookside dragon roles which were fantastic. My car was stuck in the snow after dining and the chefs came out to help get me unstuck. What an amazing part of the neighborhood.

First time here and was surprised on the flavor. I had the chefs special that came with a rainbow roll, shrimp killer roll and chimichang. Chimichang was not for me but had good was not horrible. The Daikin roll was good and tasted fresh. Yellow tail hand roll is a must get. Red dragon flavor was a hit as well. My wife had the chicken katsu and the breading was light and delicious. The pork gyoza is a must get for a starter . So when we are back up I. The KC area this is a must come back to.

We decided to try a new to us sushi place today and we were not disappointed!! Brookside Sushi was awesome! I loved the variety of rolls. We tried The Brookside roll, Mango Ceviche roll and the Princess Leia roll ❤️ Great atmosphere and the staff were so nice.

Ordered beef udon soup, chicken catsu and sushi regular to go. Told it would be 25 minutes. Arrived and was told order would be ready in a minute. Kept coming back saying it would be 2 more minutes. Took 45 minutes instead. When we got home we found we had received no sushi.
