We tried The Brookside II Sports Bar & Grille on a recommendation from a local friend. The place is huge and has a little bit of everything—outdoor seating, live music, darts, pool, off-track betting, a great drink selection, and a full menu.
We stopped in for a few drinks and appetizers after an appointment, and we were not disappointed. The bar was clean, the atmosphere was fun, and the bartender was friendly and on point. You could tell the other customers were enjoying themselves, too.
We ordered drinks, onion rings, pretzel dunkers, and a Reuben burger with fries. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. The onion rings were perfectly crisp with flavorful breading, and the pretzel dunkers were outstanding—golden, crispy on the ends, perfectly salted, and that ideal mix of crunchy and chewy. The honey mustard was so good I could have honestly sipped it.
A couple minor downsides: the cheese sauce served with the pretzels was nacho-style, which felt out of place. Pretzels deserve plain cheese or beer cheese—nacho cheese belongs with nachos. And the onion rings didn’t come with any dipping sauce; a ranch or a zesty horseradish (something like Ray’s secret sauce) would’ve taken them to the next level.
Overall, the service was excellent, the drinks came out fast, the food was great, and we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Average sports bar feel. Very spacious. The service was on and off. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich 4/5 and the Reuben 4.5/5. The seasoned curly fries are worth the upgrade.

This has a feel of hole in the wall bar because the second you walk in, if you’re not a regular, you will be stared at! The service took awhile to be waited on, even though it wasn’t busy besides the people sitting at the bar and a group of men playing some game on the other side. If you don’t like high top tables, you’re out of luck since that’s all they have. We both order the Philly Steak and Chicken Philly. The bread was tasty along with the toasted cheese. I can’t say much about the chicken or steak because it was hard to find. First and last stop!

Last night 3 of us went for drinks and dinner. Couldn’t get a waitress over for 1 hour. Had to put order in at bar. Then the food took 45 minutes. Chicken wings were too well done, the fish filets were snack size but good but not worth the money, the very expensive pb&j burger was the size of a McDonald’s cheeseburger lil larger but not by much. The bar staff was super nice. I went to close out our tab and he gave me a recept which I had my credit card on. 5 minutes later they approach us and says we didnt pay!?!?! I showed them the receipt and he still insisted I didnt pay. Didn’t understand that at all but gave him my card again and even left a large tip after all this. Band was good and pool tables were fun

We came here for liveband on a Tuesday , I felt that the audio just all sounded wrong , their mics and instruments were way too quiet in my opinion. The long 30min breaks the band took were annoying . Very hard to get our servers attention . I don’t think we will come back

First bar to visit in our neighborhood and the most unfriendly, dismal place. Servers and bartenders didn’t notice us and it was a disgrace. Don’t go here. They seem to cater to the regulars. Thank you for ruining our night. Horrible. Dreadful.

They have such good food! Their Ruben burger is so good and the sweet chili wings are amazing! I usually do take out and the guy at the bar is always so nice. When I dined in the waiter forgot about my table and the service was very slow. Overall great food, you might want to call for takeout 🙂

was walking in, by now should be a regular since the bar tender knows me and recognizes me as i walk in, get ID’d by the older security guard and as the younger one who thinks he knows how o handle service whispers rudely “what’s talking so long” as i search for my ID. didn’t even take more than 45 seconds. very unprofessional and walked out as soon as it happened. will never be putting my time or money into an establishment who can’t properly greet guests.
